Pioneer Ddj Sr Dj Controller Firmware Update Mac

I have had many controllers in the past, this is the best one for me by far! Most recently coming from a Pioneer DDJ 1000SRT and a DDJ Rev 5. With the new Rev 7 firmware and Serato updates, the Rev 7 essentially does everything the Rev 5 does and more, and offers a lot more in hardware capabilities and functionality! The pads, fx levers, faders, and buttons all feel so much better and more solid than on the Rev 5. There is definitely an adjustment to the spinning platters coming from so many years on static jog wheels, and no Cue button, but it's so much more fun and you can quickly get used to it. The package deal is absolutely amazing! Just getting the decksaver included was enough, but to also get a power strip (could always use an extra one ), a pair of headphones (not great ones, but useful), and a laptop stand, it was completely worth it. Love this controller. I have owned and played on many controllers dating back to the original controller, the Pioneer DDJ S1, to the SX, SX2, SZ, Numark Mixtracks, Roland 505, 1000SRT, Rev 5...this feels the absolute best for my workflow, it will be a while before I feel the need to switch from the Rev 7. 5 |

I recently embarked on a quest to find the perfect DJ controller, and my journey led me to the Pioneer DDJ-REV5, which I purchased from B&H Photo. From the moment I unboxed it, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. The sleek design and intuitive layout immediately caught my eye. The sound quality is phenomenal, making every session feel like a live performance. The responsiveness of the jog wheels and the precision of the controls gave me an unprecedented level of creativity and control. B&H Photo played a crucial role in this story. Their customer service was impeccable, guiding me through my purchase with patience and expertise. The equipment was in stock and ready to go, so I didn't have to wait long to start using it. The Pioneer DDJ-REV5 has transformed my DJing, turning my sets into captivating experiences. B&H Photo made this journey unforgettable with their exceptional service. If you’re in the market for top-notch DJ equipment and stellar customer support, look no further. 5 |

I can say enough about this controller. It's smooth and easy to use. I'm upgrading from a DDJ-sx2 and couldn't be happier. Pioneer wins again with this one. 5 |

I had to options; Traktor S4 or DDJ-1000. I don't regret buying this DJ Controller. It has all I need and more. It feels well built, and I have all the necessary tools. It is very compact compared to the DDJ-1000. If you choose this board, you won't regret it. 5 |

There is not much to say about this controller other than Pioneer DJ nailed it! As a vinyl DJ on turntables for over 35 years, this is the closest I've come across to using traditional vinyl on a portable controller. Coupled with the great mixer section, there is not much (if anything) that I would change. Definitely worth the buy. Also... the $100 upgrade with the flight case is a no-brainer. The case is built like a tank. Honestly, it may even be too large and robust. Unless you're going to use it for frequent gigging. 5 |

I'm using this controller with Ableton and it was very quick and easy to setup (my unit already had the latest firmware update too, which was nice). There's a program on the unit for Ableton which again made controlling aspects within the DAW seamless. It's obviously small (only 25 keys), but having the pads and encoders on such a compact unit is great. Fits right on my desk and lets me edit/perform parameters live, and is easy to throw into my bag and take with me. Only downside is that there's no midi out (just usb). So means I can't use with some hardware synths. But for DAW control, fantastic. 5 |

Hook up cable, connect to Mac, password update, firmware check, call ISP, disconnect from Mac, connect to router, and done, 10 minutes tops. 5 |

I purchased the camera to take pictures of my pastel work to produce prints from and I have been out and about with the camera since I bought it.I shoot with RAW files, so if you have Photoshop, beware that you can only use CS4 versions of the program with the update at Adobe's site. The Pentax program is cumbersome and slow.My decision to go with the Pentax was user interface and having quite a bit of older lenses from my SLR days. The lenses are 25+ years old, in perfect conidition and they work with the Kx's aperture setting if you set them in A mode. So that was a plus for me ... The Kit lens is fun for auto focus, but its a plastic mount. I bike the city a lot in Baltimore so Im always on the move with the camera since I got it. Invest in a better lens rather than the kit lenses with more than the 18-55mm. It will be worth if you swap a lot and wear on the mount is an issue.... I was on the fence with this and the Rebel XSi, but after holding the Canon in my hand, I felt the Kx was super solid, feels great, and it a dream to use compared to the XSi.The only downfall I hear is battery life. Well you need to update the firmware on the camera and it will show an accurate battery level indicator on the display. I got about 400 shots on the included batteries in RAW format with only 40-50 using the flash before they died. If you update the firmware and you use a Mac, you need to have a seperate SD card reader as the 10.6 OS on the Mac will not let you copy the firmware file to the camera. (I havent figured it out, but if you are Mac savy, you should be able to do this without an additional card reader). If you are considering this camera at all, buy it. The Video is better than almost all in this level of camera and it works with your old K-mount lenses! 5 |

Works like it should with my Mac Pro 2013 "trashcan". I had a Samsung 980 Pro but after their latest firmware update that drive started misbehaving. Apparently Samsung's controllers don't play nicely with macs. WD was recommended by the mac community and it has been a good decision. 5 |
