Piston Valves Replacement Brass Instruments

Great replacement lamp for all of our instruments.

This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc.

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

The step-up ring is a generic replacement for the heavy brass ring made by european manufacturers. It is light weighted with slim rims, although not as sturdy as the heavy european versions. The ring is coated with non-flective paint, unlike some of the older rings with highly reflective surface.

I bought this brass ring as a replacement for an aluminum one, which was constantly getting stuck onto various filters. Decoupling the filters and the ring was a major hassle, even with lens wrenches. While the brass seemed a bit expensive, it turned out to be well worth it to me. It goes on and comes off easily. I'd buy it again.

This is a wonderful Ballhead. I've previously used a piston grip ballhead, which i've liked, but I prefer the fact that this model has the quickrelease closer to the hall head. It is incredibly easy to adjust, much easier than other ball heads i've used.

Gator makes nice equipment; sturdy and these units include an air/piston assist that sure does come in handy for setting height. the head supplied does not tilt, so i found the QuikLok DSP-390s to work well. i’ll keep the others in bag for when i need them.

Outstanding Video Head! Sure, it's not a Sachtler or Cartoni Focus, but for the price this head beats all for the smooth, solid tilting. My FS5 rig is an awkward one to balance on, say, a 504HD, but with the N8 I can tilt all the way forward and back without spending over four digits. The piston is what truly makes the difference. It does take a few minutes to get the right combo of piston height, drag, and friction, but once set it really is a dream to use.
