Pixel 8 Camera Specs

By this point it's sad to say that the Pixel 3 is an Old Phone, but it is not by any specs at all. I've been in need of a good quality top tier phone, but can't agree with Normal prices now-a-days. So, I was patient and hopeful that B&H would have a discount on something good... and BOOM! This is the phone I didn't know I wanted. But, I've been a customer of B&H for years and I knew they'd have something if I was just patient enough.

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer.

When this Camera was released, it's specs were underwhelming to say the least.. I recently got a very good deal on this camera and picked it up. If you can get it for a bargain, do it. Low light performance is pretty outstanding in my opinion. Focusing system is fast and accurate. Colors are spectacular. I really do not know why so many people were so disappointed with this camera once they've used it. It performed so well that I may just never sell it. It really is that good. I haven't had it that long and have only used 2 lenses with it. But it really impressed me. I used the Tamron 24-70 2.8 VC and the Cheap Ol'Nifty Fifty 50mm 1.8 STM.. side note.. when canon updated the nifty 50.. I wasn't expecting much.. but it performs noticeably better.. It's no L lens.. but.. it really does perform well.. I added a few pictures that I took last night while I was waiting for the model to finish getting ready.

Accurate specs. it does what it says..

First, 60W will probably meet your needs in a small video studio. I only use 2-8% of the output. Secondly, a standard modifier platform (Bowens' S mount), has saved me a great deal of time. The lower cost silent heads would only accept barndoors, gaffing tape and aluminum foil. Far Far easier to repurpose old modifiers or purchase new. Previously, I would have to retape the foil at inopportune times. SILENCE is critical for me. Recording a cast once correctly is worth all the post processing in the world. Nothing beats SILENCE.

It takes some getting used to. I always shoot it at EI 100. It has all the tonal range you need right there. It always requires underdevelopment though, anywhere from 8% -15%. The highlights blow out very easily, and this helps control them. Scratches easily, a bit softer than HP5. The lack of grain looks phenomenal at a large scale.

I just used the battery for the first time to shoot an 11 hour wedding day. I ran it down to 8% and it lasted me about 9.5 hours and around 2900 frames. They say it lasts 1350 or something like that but for me it was double.

It focuses the light. It fits well on the Pixel G1S Camera / Video Light.
