Placing Weights On Homemade Camera Stabilizer

This is a cool little stabilizer. First, the build quality is very impressive. It's constructed with quality parts and is well machined. According to the specs, it can hold up to 2.2lbs, and I do not question that at all. This is made very well and strong. For me, it feels good in the hand. I am using it with my Sony ZV-E10, so I only need one of the weights for counterbalance. But it comes with a total of 3 weights that you can add/attach if the camera you are using demands that extra weight for balance. I love the flexibility the extra weights provide. Where the camera attaches, there is a small rubber pad, so the camera stays in place, tightens down strong and prevents scratching. The ball joint is smooth and is effective. My camera is fairly lightweight, so balancing the stabilizer is pretty easy and fast for me. The included bubble level is very helpful when balancing (also when operating). I've used similar devices like this in the past, so operating this stabilizer was straightforward and simple. But for those trying this type of handheld stabilizers for the first time, you should take some time to practice and get comfortable with it. Once you get the hang of it, this handheld stabilizer can be very effective. It takes a little bit of practicing, but it is worth it. I love having this stabilizer as another tool for my projects. And I love not having to worry about batteries. I’m very happy with this product. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5 |

I create a homemade stabilizer. When I messed up the balance while film, I just stopped and left to home. With HD2000, I can just adjust the balance under 5 minutes and resume film. I bought a vest/arm system and created custom adapter that allows to connect between HD2000 and arm. The combine improved effect than hand-held! This product just is amazed. Most time, I film at inverse HD2000. Yes, it is required to practice to master stabilizer. 5 |

This is a very handy stabilizer for GoPro or DSLR. It has multiple uses and does them all well. NOTE: Get the extra weights if you plan to use with DSLR. 5 |

I use a NikonD200 with a Neoprene neck strap and the neoprene, flexible Stabilizer Strap (Op/Tech USA) around my chest when camera is not in use. The stabilizer precents the camera swaying when I am running, climbing, or otherwise active, even getting out of crowded vehicles. The stbilizer prevents the strap from impacting anything like branches, rock walls, furniture, or the person in the seat ahead of me. It permits the camera to instantly slip out of the stabilizer, leaving the strap in position./ The strap length is adjustable to fit over a bulky jacket or vest, and the snap-on ends make it easy to fit.The central lens opening can be enlarged to fit extremely wide diameter lenses. I canot imagine how it could be improved. 5 |
