Plastic Hardware Drawers

I have 4 of these. They took the place of random storage in plastic bags and the bottom of drawers. I like them because they are waterproof and secure, yet easy to open without breaking a fingernail, unlike some other competitors. Not expensive and highly recommended. 5 |

I needed an articulating VESA style mount for my Osee LCM156-A production monitor. All the other products I found were much more expensive. I was concerned that this would not fully support the weight of the monitor which ships with an attached carry case/sun hood (approximately 14 pounds), but I thought I'd roll the dice and see if this would support it...and it does. The unit is small enough that I can pack it into the carry case without having to remove it (a HUGE plus), and it provides adequate angle adjustment range. The plastic ratchet handle may wear out over time, but I know this can be replaced with a solid metal one. For the cost of this product, the plastic handle isn't a surprise. The more important hardware is the bit that clamps onto the articulating balls. That hardware is all metal, and looks like it will last with proper use. The supplied screws are a bit too long and bottom out before tightening. I was able to shimmed the plate with 2 washes at each screw, and it appears to hold well. Overall, I'm very pleased with this mount, and think it's a good value. 5 |

The Impact 2 A clamp is a well built A clamp that should last you a long time. A-clamps aren't too exciting but they sure are a handy and necessary item that you can't have too many of. I have a bunch of hardware store clamps and the main difference for me between these clamps is the plastic tips. In one of my pics you can see this clamp vs a hardware clamp that I've had for roughly about the same amount of time, in the yellow box you can see how quickly the cheaper plastic tips wear out. These clamps are strong and they won't scratch anything up. It's a great addition to my grip box. (I received this item in exchange for my honest opinion) 5 |

This is a really well-built rack with robust hardware. For essentially the same price as the plastic racks on the market today, this is the best choice for road worthiness and durability. I'm planning on replacing all of my plastic racks (Gator and SKB) because the butterfly latches tend to lose tension over time due to their reduced size. Also, the plastic racks tend to crack in the cold weather and the covers loosen up with a lot of use. This Odyssey rack is really durable, with an attractive black laminate over 3/8 plywood. All hardware is solidly riveted and the covers and latches are tight and work well. The full-size butterfly latches in recessed cups will last for decades, they also have built-in hasps for you to add your own locks for security. I think Hollywood popularized the plastic racks because they look sleek and modern, but this wood rack is also very attractive with the satin black laminate augmented with brushed chrome trim and chrome-plated hardware. Also, I personally think gear loaded in wood racks like this appears more professional looking than the plastic cases. The laminate on this rack holds paint well if you want to spay paint a stencil of your company logo, or rack contents, and dust cleans up quickly with any standard cleaner. This particular rack is a special order item with B&H. That's okay. I submitted my order with B&H and they had the rack drop shipped to me. I received it in about ten business days, no problems. I'm looking forward to replacing all of my cases with these old school Odyssey wood racks. No more plastic racks for me - what's old is new again. 5 |

The hardware feels solid (despite plastic casing). Pads, knobs, and sliders are all comparable to those on CDJ3000s and pro mixers. The large jog wheels feel great and have adjustable resistance. Quick access to stems and on-board effects is a huge step up from smaller controllers. 5 |

Not an inexpensive piece of hardware, but really well made.I like that it doesn't have big handles that get in the way. It is very easy to put my speedlite in a vertical position...I had trouble with other bulky , plastic brands. I am very happy with this purchase. Forget plastic for $dollars less ..get the right metal one and be done with it. Oh and of course it holds the umbrella sturdy. 5 |

This is a well made light stand in spite of the plastic hardware. The air-cushion works as advertised - a VERY nice feature - can save your expensive light equipment if a section accidentally becomes loose. The mounting stud is solid with no play as in some cheaper stands. The legs could use rubber feet. I plan on getting some at the hardware store. 5 |

Good quality, mostly metal construction (knobs over hardware are molded plastic), and versatile 5 |
