Plastic See Through Drawers

I have 4 of these. They took the place of random storage in plastic bags and the bottom of drawers. I like them because they are waterproof and secure, yet easy to open without breaking a fingernail, unlike some other competitors. Not expensive and highly recommended.

This is an amazing grip! Through those plastic ones away! Super solid, feels good, holds tight. Love the spring that opens the plates as you loosen the handle. Only complaint I have is that it will not fit my larger diameter booms... but I like the grip so much that I'm now looking for a replacement boom rather than a different grip! If you use grip heads, you absolutely need to try one of these.

See the photos showing it next to one of my Matthews Hollywood Beefy Baby Stand (8.5') ($202.40 each) I got two of these Impact stands, and they are comparable in size. Not, of course, in quality. The major drawback I saw when I got them was that the lockdown knuckles and the bottom shaft anchors are plastic. Heavy plastic with metal screw inserts, but plastic nonethelesss. There is the place where you are saving your dollars. The Matthews, of which I have three, are superb. Heavy, All metal, 4 hex screws instead of 1 in each locking clamp, and much heavier legs. The Matthews, of course, do not have an air cushion. I doubt they could manage it, with the weight of the sections. Consider, however, that the far superior Matthews is FIVE times the price, and think about what you need. If you are not putting a heavy Mole Richardson Fresnel 1K on it, the Cheaper Impact stands are a great bargain. If you want your stand to unquestionable outlive you, then go for the Matthews.
