I have 4 of these. They took the place of random storage in plastic bags and the bottom of drawers. I like them because they are waterproof and secure, yet easy to open without breaking a fingernail, unlike some other competitors. Not expensive and highly recommended. 5 |

I bought the 1450 for a future trip to the Caribbean. I was looking for a case that could be locked with padlocks so I could cable the camera gear to something while not in use. Metal reinforced locking holes or tabs on this case seem adequate. It would probably take a lot of smashing to break the locking features off... As far as the water tightness...I took the 1450 out on a kayak camping trip in the Chesapeake bay. The wind whipped up and was sending waves into the cockpit (and through the cheap sprayskirt I had) onto the case. My canon gear stayed nice and dry (as expected). The 1450 also made a nice storage case for the gear back at camp. No worries when your stuff is in this case. The one downside of the 1450 is that it is too bulky for low impact or light camping. It is perfect however for transport and storage of your gear under other circumstances. 5 |
