Installed in a Windows 10 Desktop, installed the driver from the CD, and it works perfectly so far. 5 |

I could not upgrade the firmware from Godox through my windows 10. So after a computer professional looked over the situation said that Windows 10 would not recognize the upgrade due to the time Godox wrote the firmware upgrade. He used Windows 7 and the firmware upgrade worked. 5 |

It's a marvelous 'plug and play' adapter with Windows 10. You just can't expect any more of a product... 5 |

As many of the other reviewers of this product mention, I too went to search for a driver. After wasting time doing that, I realized that when I restarted my computer, it just magically recognized the device and when I inserted a DVD, or CD, I was able to burn them to my computer. It seems to work on my Windows 7 and Mac operating systems just fine. I have a MacBook Pro without a built-in CD/DVD drive, so this works nicely. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (mac) and Windows 7 in Parallels and have been able to burn discs nicely. I would advise forgetting about the usual driver headache that we come to expect when we get new devices and if your computer does not recognize/"see" the device in Finder (mac) or Explorer (windows) when you first plug it in, try a restart and try to plug it in and start playing with it! Sometimes we like to complicate things that do not ask to be complicated...at least that was my experience. 5 |

I used it as a second drive for Windows 10 on my Ubuntu computer. There were no problems with the drive itself 5 |

I play all of my music CD's and MP3's on my desktop computer routing the line out signal from my sound card into a stereo system that has speakers in various locations in my home. There was always a low level hum while the computer was powered on when playing music, not too bad but not desirable. When the computer was powered off the hum would get much louder and the stereo system would need to be powered down or switched to a different input such as FM or phono to eliminate the noise. I tried several filters and even ground isolation circuits, no help. I determined the problem source was common mode noise, a difference between ground potentials of the two systems. I purchased the HE18 because of the size and superior audio specifications. Very easy to install giving me options for several different connector types, I used the RCA style connectors. Excellent results. Problem eliminated. I do not detect any frequency or volume loss. 5 |

I'm sure if you are using this SD card in a camera or in a Windows 10/11 installed computer, then you are going to just plug and play. However. if you are planning on installing this in a Linux machine, you should be aware that you may be in store for a bit of work to make Linux play with this storage device the way you want it to. In my case I installed this SD card in a laptop running Pop OS! Linux and it required formatting to ext4, partitioning and manually editing the /etc/fsck table to make it work the way I wanted. This is specific to the Linux distro I'm using and it is NOT an issue with the SD card. Once I finished getting Linux to play nice with the SanDisk card, it has worked flawlessly with the Back In Time disk backup utility and I'm very pleased with the SD card's capacity and performance. 5 |
