I have an area where I installed outdoor smart lights. The distance from the ubiquiti U6 Enterprise is just a fraction too far away for them to connect successfully to my Wi-Fi. Sure, I could've ran an Ethernet cable and installed another AP, but this area is rarely occupied by anyone needing Wi-Fi, and to do all this work for a few smart lights seemed unnecessary. I just placed the U6 extender at the midpoint of the distance and got exactly what I was needing.

Having replaced CDs with a hard drive music player, I decided it was time to review my speaker system. I didn't believe that it was possible to replace my hi-fi speakers with a one box system of equivalent quality, until I read the reviews of the Sonos Play 5. One listen at my local hi fi store convinced me, and I bought straight away! Set up was very simple, and the sound quality is astounding. Other reviewers have mentioned discovering new things in their existing music, and that has been my experience too. It's just like seeing a live band, where each instrument can be heard clearly, with the vocals overlaying the whole. It has even led to me discovering new music, with the wealth of Internet radio stations available. Thoroughly recommended - I can assure you, that no matter how much music you already listen to, the Sonos Play 5 will encourage you to listen to more!

I wanted to upgrade my 23 year old mini hi fi system and still play my records. I was looking at the Port initially as this would still allow me to play my tapes and CD's, but I rarely listen to them now and only stream and play records. The Five has far better sound than my mini hi fi unit and fulfills everything that I wanted (and also saves me a lot of space).

Sonos five is a Hi-Fi system. I have tried many different genres and volume levels and it sounds clear, no distorsión. I use it in a small living room of about 25 m2 and max level is loud enough so we stay a little below it. My wife and me take over the control of music in just a second. We enjoy to play music and then dance or just play with our kids while listening. Sound quality is great! Design is also outstanding. It's elegant and sober

The Sonos Play 5 has an awesome sound that can fill a large room.It can peak out with particularly songs with a lot of base, but it awesomly good in most other scenarios. I would like to see more tools to balance that manually. Equiliser software would be a nice add. Thought it's pretty straight forwatd to set up with the Sonos app and have wi-fi, but don't take it with you if there is not going to be wi-fi to connect to. It's not like a Bluetooth speaker. Bluetooth connectivity would also be a nice addition for one to one connectivity as it would be nice to take away, or be able to connect a device to play sound from rather than just having to use the supported software. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. Though it's expensive, I feel it's worth it for the quality.
