Play Mac Thunderbolt Computer To Stereo Speakers

If you're running any Mac computer with Thunderbolt drive, this is a great investment. For the price of this storage dock and bare drives, you'll save quite a bit vs stacking up on separate external drives which usually run an average of $- for 1TB (YMMV).It's fast. I have a bunch of 3TB internal drives I buy online for about $.. so this thing is perfect for saving/archiving stuff and its fast enough to run FCP with work and project files on a caddy drive. 5 |

Setup two play 5 speakers in stereo, wow! Sound quality is amazing, a massive improvement over my previous play 1 setup 5 |

I bought 2 of these speakers and play them simultaneously using party mode or stereo mode. They are small speakers but the sound is incredibly clear and loud. They fell into the pool and they still work perfectly 5 |

I got 4 of these to replace 3 Sonos speakers and one sound bar on my TV. (1 in the kitchen, 1 in the dining room and 2 combined as a stereo pair under the television). Comparing the sound to the Sonos play:1 speakers, they are quite a bit better. I can hear much more bass and the sound is more omnidirectional. The integration to my Apple ecosystem is much nicer that the Sonos app as well. I have apple music; the combo with the homepods is just super. I basically use Siri to play or find whatever I want to listen to. It took me some fiddling around over a couple days to completely figure out how to use airplay to play music from each particular homepod. Now that I learned how to do it, it works very well. Playing the TV sound through the paired speakers works out well too. Sometimes the AppleTV sound output changes from homepod to HDMI all on its own for some reason. When that happens I have to switch it back manually. Probably some fine tuning by Apple needs to be done in this area. I will probably buy more to make stereo pairs in every room as they sound even better this way. By the way I also replaced an Amazon Echo with these in the process. The microphones on these pick up our voice better than the echo. 5 |

Also more than expected. I bought this to drive outdoor speakers and figured I'd spend a few more dollars to get Bluetooth. Well B&H must be showing a slightly older model because what I received also has an SD card slot in addition to the USB port and it will play mp3 files! It also has an FM tuner built in. I expected to feed this amp from my main stereo just to drive the outdoor speakers but since the Pyle also has line level output jacks I can also feed my stereo from the Pyle. I was a little afraid of a feedback loop while fiddling with switches but it has not happened. So now I can play mp3's or a Bluetooth source through the whole house inside & out. Perfect! The Pyle also seems to have tons of power. I easily drive a pair of Polk outdoor speakers with the Pyle volume just above zero. If there is any high volume distortion I'll never hear it unless I blow out the speakers. I could very easily drive a second pair of speakers with the Pyle. Great device, very compact, not much heat, good controls. Nothing to dislike. Hope it has a long life. 5 |

I own a number of Sonos speakers. I'm very much in the ecosystem. I have the Beam, two Sonos Play 1's as rear speakers, a Move in the kitchen, a Sonos One in the conservatory, bedroom, a Sonos One stereo pair in the office, even the IKEA Symfonisk speaker lamp. I wanted to upgrade to a Sonos Five to play vinyl and select which rooms to play the vinyl in. The sound is full, bottom heavy and rich. A big step up from a One. The only frustrating thing as a consumer is the other speakers not having the input for a record player so if you want to connect your record player you're almost forced to buy a Sonos Five. I'm aware you can buy Sonos accessories to connect in other ways but the cost of them isn't far off a new speaker so it made sense to upgrade. I can't knock anything off the five stars for that as I've given that for the overall experience of buying the Five. I love the packaging on the Beam and Five. The locks on the box, it really does make you feel like it's money well spent, so premium. So, I love the Five, even considering buying another to stereo pair the one I have. The setup with these speakers is so easy, no complaints there at all. 5 |

We have - play 5, four play 1's, one play 3, two One's, One Connect device tradional stereo system feeding outside speakers, 3 boost units the entire system works flawlessly, if I ever have any issues it's always been related to my WiFi which on rare occasion needs a reset of the router as the house is remote. Updates are a piece of cake, takes 3-4 minutes and no need to go to each speaker and reset as I've read done people post, not sure what that's about.... I'm going to get another two One units and maybe another Play 5 as I like to place 1,2 speakers outside when we're enjoying the yard, ( hence my need for several boosts units) LOVE SONOS and the ease of use 5 |

I use the Sonos Sub with a pair of Play 3 speakers in stereo OR with the Sonos Soundbar. The sub was a complete pain in the backside to setup as things didn't go as smoothly as Sonos would want. Finally got it connected (after much frustration) and working. The issue I had was that the colour light flashing sequence I was seeing wasn't listed in any of the Sonos help material. Finally diagnosed it as a router issue, but it would have been nice (and saved a heap of time) if Sonos had have listed this sequence in their help section. 5 |

I love audio and these speakers are awesome. I'm running 2 play 5 stereo in the lounge and 1 play 5 in the main bedroom. Fills the house with great warm sounds Great low end extension pleasant and clean highs and punchy in between. Will definitely be expanding. 5 |

I bought one Play 5 for my living room and it sounded great! But I was missing that dual speaker, true stereo sound so I bought another Play 5 for my kitchen and paired them up as a left and right stereo pair. WOW!!! It upgraded my sound from Great to Truly Incredible Stereo Sound like those guys in the 80's with the 6 GIANT speakers that took up their entire living rooms! It's so cool to be able to listen to music from ANY source you can think of. I got to un-retire all my old 80's vinyl records and they sound amazing on this system (I finally blew my old Advent Baby speakers)! I can't wait to see what comes next in the software for the Sonos system. I also plan on buying 2 Play 1's for my bedroom next! You can't go wrong with this system! 5 |
