Play Psp Games From Usb Flash Drive

Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

The fact that I can play my games directly from the new drive, both PS5 and PS4 games, is really nice. Was a quick and simple install and format. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent drive, I use it as additional storage on my Xbox Series X - you can't play the new gen games from it, but archiving games on here and moving them to the main storage when I want to play them is a significantly faster than downloading them. Great speed and fairly decent value. Xbox detects it right away and is a speedy transfer.

This external hard drive can read and while, while being used and playing games. This is my current steam library all on this external drive. I can play games on this device even when downloading. It handles all my tasks! it's also used for my emulators with this incredible reads and write. I my previous device WD black external would freeze all the time, when moving on to the HDD or playing a game while downloading causing the game to crash. If you are a gamer and plan to play games & download at the same time or use this machine as emulation station, this external HDD is for you! I actually hope they come with 18tb or 20tb model cause I would buy again!

Bought this to expand the storage in a PlayStation 5. The drive is fast enough that it provides as good or better performance than the built-in drive, and it expanded the total available storage from 800GB (about 625 usable) to 2,800. That's great because as big as modern games are, the stock hard drive only puts about ten PS5 games at your immediate disposal. As for the buying experience, B&H customer service was stellar as always, the product shipped quickly and arrived in great condition. Sony made the installation process quick and easy, much like upgrading memory in a laptop, where you just have to access a side hatch rather than crack the whole device open. Of course I'd still suggest the usual precautions like an anti-static strap. I've seen some questions about this elsewhere, so I'll mention it here in case someone's deciding between an internal drive like this one or an external drive, which are usually cheaper and bigger. Internal drives can hold both PS5 and PS4 games, and you can play them straight from the disk as if it were part of the console, because it kind of is. External drives can be used to store whatever games you like, but PS5 games have to be transferred to an internal drive before you can play them. It's not a huge hassle, USB 3.0 data transfer speeds are pretty quick, but it does mean a bit of juggling.

I been waiting to get this drive for my PS5, I usually don't like that process to install games to play others, now I can keep my games with maximum speed, I always trusted in Samsung Drives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to play Xbox but I have always had a problem with the amount of storage the games need to play them. This 3TB gives me more than enough room to download all my games and more. Some of my games are almost 100gb and without the extra external storage it would take up almost hard drive. Hooking the external hard drive up was very easy and just needed to be plugged in directly to the Xbox. The Xbox will recognize it and will be ready to move downloads and store them as needed. The hardrive may look small but 3TB is a very large amount of space! This external hard drive is great quality and I'm pleased how easy set up was with it.
