Play Wireless Through Sonos Speakers

We decided to go wireless and use Sonos to take away clutter and facilitate streaming and different music playback options in different rooms at the same time. We used to have an Onkyo 2 zone receiver running two amazing outdoor Bose speakers (prewired in our home) and a Bose Accousitmass 10 sorround system in our family room. To play the speakers outside we had to play the same thing in the Family room. It sounded good though. We replaced the Onkyo and indoor Bose surround with a Sonos Soundbar and we are 110% happy with that. We also bought a Sonos Amp to run the outdoor speakers. Now we can play different things in the different areas and the sound quality is phenomenal. The amp has more power and clarity than the old Onkyo receiver. I know this is a really expensive option, but for us, it was completely worth the investment!

I have the Sonos 5's in several larger roomA at my house and our lake house. I especially Love the play 5's when I feel Like cranking it up for parties. I am a huge SONOS fan...all told I have 46 SONOS units (speakers, subs, amps) plus 16 outdoor Bose speakers and four in ceiling Bose speakers.

I'm an old throw-back to 1980's music....massive speakers and big hair! The last serious "system" I bought was in 1988 as a teenager. So when my kids informed me there was a better way for an "old guy" to listen to his favorite music, I was skeptical. Vintage metal should be played on equipment from that time.....right? I purchased a single Play 5 and easily downloaded the SONOS app., then learned what Spotify was. WOW! That single modest-looking speaker sounded better than both my tower speakers hauled home in the back of my Trans Am 30 years ago. Deep, powerful.....Loud! I just had to buy a second Play 5 and now I'm air-guitaring to whatever I want to hear with just a tap of my finger. Out with the the old....in with SONOS! Might be time to grow the mullet back....

A long time Sonos fan...the ERA 300 are the best yet. I have them running with other older Play:3 speakers. The Play:3 speakers are old and still sound great but the ERA 300 just takes it to a whole new level. The love continues!

I started investing in Sonos about 3 years ago, and let's be honest, it is an investment. Originally, we heard rumors of a mass shift from S1 that rendered all Sonos investors before me product useless, scared me a bit. To this day, I still pray Sonos does not sunset my versions placing me in a stuck stance for expanding my product suite, because this brand is worth it. With respect the the amp, I have 5 running my home, and absolutely love it. I did not purchase the in-wall speakers but they power my Martin Logan speakers amazingly. Since that initial blow to the pockets, I've expanded to having 5 Play 1's, 4 Play 3s, 2 Roams, 2 Moves, 4 Play 5s, Arc, Beam and 5 Subs across my house and cabin, so needless to say...I'm all in. The systems are near interchangeable, allowing me to take products between homes and through quick change over in network, they are up and rockin'. The surround sound from the Arc and Play 1s....and the Beam for that matter, are amazing, great surround displacement. I've invested over 20k in my media room surround (I know, not much to some) but will the distinction Sonos produced with a 3:1 surround can actually sound better. Now, when it comes to gut crunching, mind bending movies and shows...they are ok. Still a good experience but don't hold up at super high volumes. The Play 1s in either surround or in stereo are my favorite of the Speakers, they are cost effective comparatively, and give a great whole sounds with minimal footprint. I could go on and on about how much I enjoy all aspects of Sonos products and their insanely good reliability, but for anyone reading this, if you are on the fence, the investment is worth it...whatever you are buying now, won't be your last
