I was shown this item by one of the in-store camera support sales people, Daniel. He was terrific in helping sort out some options to improve my macrophotography (kudos to B&H on service). I don't think I would have been aware of it otherwise. I bought it for macro photography; I found using a regular ballhead to be too imprecise. This combination of ball head and gear head solves a lot of my framing problems quickly, effectively, and precisely. Even on landscapes, though, it has proven its worth, enabling me to make small, precise adjustments quickly and easily. Very nice. The price for this ballhead is pretty heart-stopping, I will give you that. And it's so weird-looking, I almost rejected it out of hand. That said, this is a first-rate piece of gear. Recommended. 5 |
