This is my second Ona Kyoto hand strap. I still have the first one, in Cognac. It served its purpose well for several years, but was getting a little long in the tooth. So I replaced it with a root beer color one. I expect to get several more years of use. I have many kinds of wrist straps, having switched to them about a decade ago. Peak Design, Barbershop, Op Tech, and several others. I like the Ona best, It is one of the least bulky, yet one of the strongest. I can make it tight or loose with the one adjustable part. Like most wrist straps, it doesn't take up much room in the bag. Its leather gets better looking with use, and doesn't get all sweaty like some materials. Like most fine quality products, it may cost a little more, but not too much. And most of all, I don't worry about the strap breaking and the camera falling. I have it attached to my Fujifilm H1, with an extended wooden grip and usually a 18-135 zoom lens. Not a light kit. When I had my Nikon D750, I used a heavier paracord hand strap, that seemed to go with it, but not with my present Fujifilm cameras. I wholeheartedly recommend the Ona strap for anything less than a full frame Pro beast. 5 |
