My previous router was old and slow. WOW what an upgrade this router was. I have Gigabit speeds and my wifi runs as smooth as ever. The Nighthawk App also helps alot with controlling the parental controls for my kids aswell. 5 |

Runs fast enough to serve as a manual backup drive, and 18TB should be good enough for several years. It is not silent but the fan is reasonably quiet. I reformatted it for MacOS, by the way. IN GENERAL I've noticed that virtually all reviews for external hard drives have a few people complaining of slow R/W, and I think that is because drives are usually delivered in EXFAT format to accommodate both Mac and PC. EXFAT always runs slow in my experience. 5 |
