Action is very close to a stringed piano pedal. Holds the notes well. Great product and price

Perfect. My children can now practice their stringed instruments at their desks or any table without having to set up a regular sized music stand. We love the fact that it is manufactured in the USA.

Usage: Created a safe environment to ship two XH-A1's plus audio (wireless mic's) and 2 DTE's (Focus FS-H200Pro) from Chicago to DC. Things that are great: It's perfection personified, picking n' plucking pieces to place and protect precious professional paraphernalia from the perils of airport porters, vastly more pleasant than picking and plucking pelicans unless you are a... wait for it... a pleasant plucker of picked pelicans. Things that are not great: Umm... errr.... well, there's... actually that's not a bad thing. Um... ah... wait... no, that's good. Would you believe (using your best Maxwell Smart impression) nothing? And let's not forget the great price along with free shipping from B&H!

This is a fairly study case. The plastic is a little thin but still protective, I imagine thats where it saves on weight. I would worry less about that when ultimately it's going to be weighed down by much of your equipment... I keep two dslr bodies and about 7 lens in it. It will fit a sigma 150-500mm (which is a fairly large lens). Definitely watch how you remove the the foam as if you only leave one cell they will eventually break apart. I changed my mind mid plucking and resulted in a few lens holes with just one cell layer surrounding a few sides. It's still adequate to protect them, but the thin wall wont hold the shape and stretch with the lens in. On another note, if you never had pluck foam case before (like me) its not cubed to the bottom, it's got a solid bottom and than you pull strips out that go completely through to that layer. (IE. no plucking the height) does include hole for locks. Great case, nice price, and and I like colors. The only thing that i could see being included is clip spots for a strap or tieing it down but i wouldn't see using it that way often.

I replaced the plucking foam with this insert. Much more room. Everything is protected. Good choice!

I got two of these for both of my Canon XH-A1's and plucking the foam was a cinch. Basically you set you camera on top of the foam trace out with a marker and pluck the foam squares inside your outline. Perfect secure fit. Love it so much I'm getting another to put other equipment in.

Another excellent case by Storm. The foam is customizable by plucking the cubes out or I prefer to use an electric carving knife to make custom shapes. Very durable case. I especially like the carry handle mounted on the outside of the case instead of inside. Storm also offers a better variety of colors.
