Plug and play driver installation via Windows Update; manual driver installation on macOS. Dock does not charge host PC. I have already recommended the Plugable USB 3 Universal Docking Station for Dual Monitor to many of my friends and family and several of them have already purchased and used this docking station to manage their dual monitors quite easily and they all love to use this device.

It is very easy to use and is plug and play. Plug it into an outlet, dock host, and then connect the peripherals. It has an amazing amount of ports. I had a docking station from Plugable that I really liked, but it used DisplayLink drivers technology and because of a recent Mac update I could no longer watch videos from Netflix or Udemy or YouTube TV. Thank goodness I discovered this Hyper drive! It arrived yesterday and it’s working flawlessly and it doesn’t use any drivers whatsoever. So I can see all my content again AND as an added bonus I can finally use Flux and Nightshift on my external monitors for the first time! Very, very satisfied with this product despite its high cost.
