Plugbug World Charges Macbook

I did my research before getting this hub and saw that it was the World's most crowdfunded MacBook accessory and USB-C hub. Pretty cool! I can now easily use all my peripherals without having any problems. The hub matches perfectly with my MacBook too. Love it!

Having the 38 GB of memory makes a world of difference. I run a software development company, so my needs are fairly demanding. The CPUs are super fast and anything CPU intensive is completed in about a third of the time as my previous 2017 MacBook Pro. It's great that it can support 2 wide screen external monitors. I have one monitor set up vertically and another one horizontally above my MacBook Pro display, so tons of space! The USB-C ports are nice and tight. I like the switch to the mag safe power connector. Zero complaints. B&H Photo is always a great place to buy from and they had it in-stock and on sale for $100 off. Buying from Apple would have taken a month and no discount, so all around the best decision.

Daughter's 2010 MacBook Pro has been halfway around the world, but just started getting slow to load, slow to switch applications, and slow to boot up. A friend suggested putting in an SDD.Wow. Cloning the native HD to the SDD was no problem (used CCC, but that's not graven in stone). Once cloned, taking out the old one, switching the lug screws at the corners (OK, have your tor wrench--the $ set from B&H is cool) onto the SDD to hold it in place, and the open-out-in won't take a half-hour, and presto! Instant boot. Speed gain is immense. A little more RAM might not hurt...Samsung drives are as highly rated as anything out there, and this was such a snap, my daughter did everything but the cloning. Highly recommend.

Charges MacBook Pro 16 pro max and display port works. Data transfer tests seems to have a peak under specs but close. Little pricey.

It fits my hand perfectly. It charges with USB-C (Thunderbolt) instead of the typical lightning which my MacBook uses. Perfice to my needs.

I use this for my MacBook Pro workstation. Keys feel good and best part is that it charges itself. Some have complained that the solar power bar doesn't work long but that hasn't been the case for me.

I had another thunderbolt 3 hub, that I like, but has been demoted to my travel hub (which was it's one pro over this one.) Plenty of inputs, and it charges my macbook pro too, so I can drop the charging cable, have a clean desktop and fewer ports taken up. Win win.

Charges 1 to 8 batteries, I use it for my Eneloop batteries, charges them in about 4 hours.
