Poe Outdoor Camera For Apple Home Kit

Working from home our Wifi out on our deck was always spotty and very slow. I got this and a POE outdoor switch to ethernet back to my router inside. The only thing I regret is not doing this sooner. We now can stream 4K movies outside. Oh yeah and we can work too.

This kit worked perfectly with POE NVR and 2MP IP camera over 30 feet of existing coax. There needs to be 3 x 2 x 1 inch of space for this device on transmit side plus enough extra space to add rigid BNC connector to coax, but possible in 4 x 4 double gang box. The receiver mounts on 35mm DIN rail but the spring clamp wasn't strong enough to prevent slipping.

Works great with the apple Home kit. The night vision is outstanding. Looks cool and was a perfect addition to a smart home.

I have these in two homes and they work great. They are not POE, but most home uses do not need this.

The best little POE powered switch for outdoor deployments. Easy to setup and easy to configure.

A good outdoor POE fiber converter that can also power other 24v passive devices.

The switch just works, used to power a POE AP in another area of home.

I wrapped a 250ft Outdoor POE CAT6 Network Cable on this reel and it really works well. Not the most durable reel I have ever used but for a network cable it's just what I needed.

Had a difficult issue with a Medium range transmitter. It was supposed to operate from a POE switch but would only operate on a 24v passive POE injector. And then nothing downline would work. So I put a small outdoor switch nearby (feeding off a main POE switch) then took one of those ports and plugged this from that small switch to the radio and bam! it powered up and is operating normally. It's in harsh outdoor conditions and that has been of no issue. In my opinion, this device is named backward, It converts af poe to devices that don't work well or at all with an af port. The weather proof seal is pretty tight it not only has a gland that wraps the cable, but also a cap screws in the body tightly. I have that end angled down slightly and has been rock solid in open weather and constant wind. It's totally plug and play.
