Polarity On Cr2032 Battery

I run through a bunch of CR2032 batteries every couple of months. I like these because battery life has been good, and I can buy them at a reasonable price through B&H.

The RAYOVAC CR2032 Lithium Battery (2-Pack) contained two, count-em two CR2032 cells. Absolutely amazing!!. These were purchased as spares, so I have not measured their voltage yet. Presumably, they will produce the rated 3 Volts and will last for 190 to 240 mAh. They are 20 mm in diameter, shiny and light weight and most likely contains some lithium & manganese dioxide so are technically a LiMn02 cells. FYI: They can explode if heated to more than 80 deg. C.

This battery was included in a special B&H sale of the Ossee 15.6 Megamon monitor. It was a nice inclusion, and seems to be of decent quality. It accepts my quad battery charger and fits onto all of my V-mount battery receivers. The size is fairly compact for a 142Wh battery. It would be nice if it had some extra output ports, but so it goes. One interesting feature is the D-tap port is designed so you can (safely?) plug the D-tap plug in either direction. There are 3 offset contacts for pins, and the shape is designed so that it shouldn't end up with the D-tap plug oriented with the wrong polarity. Time will tell if I don't accidentally install the D-tap cable with incorrect polarity, but it appears to be a good design.

Takes the guess work out of setting up new systems... easy way to check for absolute polarity both in the wiring as well as out of the speakers... these little guys have saved me more hours over the years than I'll ever be able to calculate

This is a great product. I've loaned out my gear before, only for someone to reverse the polarity and blow it up. These are now on all my cables. If you make your own cables these are a godsend and only cost a few dollars more than the Antons. You'll thank me. I agree with the other reviewer. Worth every penny.
