I would recommend to friends and family needing a new printer to purchase an hp printer. This also prints pictures what more could you want from a printer ! I also signed up for the instant ink which I like it sends me free ink for 6 months for free and then you are charged a minimal fee based on number of pages you think you'll be printing after the 6 months. It's innovative they are able to communicate with printer on paper level and ink level. I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP Office Jet Pro Printer 8135e is a nice printer for what I need it to be. I only print a few things weekly, like my pay stubs and my golf game sheet. I was able to link to the printer through my IPhone or my IPad qyickky and without any difficulties. I am not to sure about the HP Instant Ink though. I think it may be worth it if you do a lot if printing. We seemed to go through the ink that came with the printer pretty fast and we normally print around 50 pages in a month. So for us it is not a very good deal, and there is always a "catch" with "free" offers. If you cancel the subscription you are unable to use any "free ink" that HP sent you for the printer. All in all, the printer is a nice printer and gets the job done and I would recommend ths printer.

I expected this unit to be heavy but it's really not. Very manageable and fits well on a small table by my desk. Instructions are very clear and made set up a breeze. I thought I might have to put this unit together or at least attach a few things here and there. Nope, it's boxed and ready to go. The printer connects to your WiFi so you can print pictures and/or documents right from your phone, tablet, and laptop. You don't even have to be in the same room as the printer to print, which is GREAT! The flatbed scanner is great. Nothing spectacular, just your basic flatbed scanner. This is a "cartridge free" printer. Refilling the ink is super easy! You just pour the bottle of ink into the inkwell. The great feature about this is you can see how much ink you have in the inkwell. No reason to EVER run out of ink during a big project. Also, compared to the ink cartridges I've purchased in the past, the bottles of ink are very affordable in comparison. SPEED - It prints much faster than I expected! It prints up to 20 pages within a minute. Also, I've noticed it holds most of a ream of paper. It seems to hold 250 pages in the paper tray. Quality of the print is great. It's dry and does not smudge once printed.
