Polaroid Underwater Camera Memory Full

One thing you don't realize about a Polaroid, that it's a memory maker, and that is the coolest thing to save a moment in time is physical. I personally think this camera is simple easy to use you get great shots and its very compact but small enough it can fit in a small bag. I would recommend this camera 100%. 5 |

This camera is for underwater professional video. It is a full HD signal. SDI was what I needed. It is a perfect size and can be used with great optic. As all the time B & H was very fast for shipping. I received the camera 2 weeks after the order. Four to six were annonced. 5 |

Just finished a trip to the Caribbean using this housing and it performed very well. The first thing you'll notice is just how bulky it is. I was more used to the slim fit of Canon's underwater housings for their Digital Elph line of pocket shooters. Sony's unit must make room for the full throw of the 70mm (equiv.) zoom lens, a mechanism to turn the control ring around the lens, and flexibility to fit all five RX100 models. Once you get over the size, you'll appreciate the amount of control you have over the unit. You'll have access to nearly every button and lever on the camera, including the control ring. About the only functionality you'll lose is the ability to spin the click wheel in the lower right of back controls. But, you can still operate that wheel as a 4-way D-pad with 4 dedicated buttons. In terms of usability, size does play a factor. The bulk might make one-handed operation tricky for folks with small hands. It will definitely consume the use of one hand entirely; you can't just let it dangle from your wrist. So, climbing a ladder back onto a boat, managing your flippers and snorkel, etc. can be a challenge. I usually had to hand my camera off at that point. Once in the water, the weight of the housing is balanced nicely by its buoyancy. It's pretty easy to keep it pointed at a target, even one-handed. If you let go of it, it will float, but it's not fighting you while trying to shoot. Still, you'll need 2 hands to keep it steady for video, especially with any kind of current. My only wish is that the camera itself had a higher top end on LCD screen brightness. It was the first thing I had to dig through the settings on once underwater. And, it only goes up 2 levels, which was still a challenge depending on the angle of sunlight. As such, I never made use of control ring and relied solely on full auto mode. All in all, I made out with some great photos and HD/4K video. And had the peace of mind and confidence to take a $900 camera underwater 5 |

So what makes buying this camera worth it over finding an old polaroid camera at the thrift shop? Well the coolest feature in my opinion is the rechargeable battery in the camera. Usually with instant film you are only left with the battery that's in the film pack but with this camera you can use either the i-type film (no battery pack, relies on camera's rechargeable battery) or you can use the polaroid 600 film (the same film but with battery pack in with the film cartridge). Why is this a cool feature? Well you can now stock up on Polaroid film for yourself or a a gift and not have to worry about the battery in the film pack dying rendering the film useless. You have the ability to recharge the camera and keep shooting! And if the battery inside the Polaroid Originals One Step 2 ever does die or lose performance you can just switch to using the Polaroid 600 film with the battery pack in the film cartridge. This camera is totally worth buying! And I forgot to mention the Polaroid Originals film is pretty good and is only getting better! 5 |
