Polk Boom Swimmer Jr Replacement Micro Usb Cable

I borrowed a camera from a friend who had lost the Micro USB cable that came with it, so I ordered this one as a replacement. It arrived quickly and has worked perfectly. I've ordered other Pearstone cables in the past and like those, this one is very good quality and works perfectly. It was exactly what I needed.

This is a replacement for an older one I had that was USB-A and micro USB. The transfer rate on the old was good, but this is much better.

I also own the Mathews Jr Boom and this works better when I don't have room for the larger boom. This one holds plenty and is very sturdy. I mount this on a digi Mathews stand. With Hensel integra mono lights and Mola beauty dishes, I have no worries of an expensive tip over. I have friends that have had lights fall on clients because of cheaper made booms. I lent them my jr boom and stand and they bought one too. I do use thirty pounds of sand bags on the stand as an insurance policy.

Needed this for charging from a micro-USB cable. Works great for that.

I have another review that I wrote about this mic, but B&H's website doesn't appear to let me update that review. I've now been using this mic almost daily for over a year. The audio is crisp and clear, background noise is kept to a minimum, and people on the other end of the meeting/phone call give compliments on the detail that this mic captures. I used to use a condenser mic, but that also had the annoying feature of picking up a lot of 60Hz hum. This mic doesn't do that and I didn't have to make any adjustments to the room either. For the person who mentioned they couldn't fit it in a shockmount, it has one internally. That is why the mic is the size that it is. For those complaining about the USB port, mine hasn't had any issues. I accidentally bent the micro usb connector on the cheap cable they shipped with it and the mic survived just fine. The cable, on the other hand, was useless after that. I solved this problem by finding a 90 degree USB adapter so that the connector isn't pointing straight out the back of the mic. It now sits mostly flush and swiveling the mic is more likely to cause the adapter to disconnect at the other end. If your laptop, like mine, is usb-c only, don't try to buy long usb-c to usb-c cables. They are crazy expensive. Instead, try to buy a usb-c to mini or micro usb-b cable. They are much cheaper. My setup is usb-c to micro usb (10 feet), then an adapter from micro-usb to usb-c (1 inch), and then finally a short usb-c to 90 degree micro-usb adapter (6 inches).

Not much to say: simple cable that works. I use it with the Rode VideoMic Pro and the Micro boom pole.

Buy a longer cord like the USB 3.0 A/ML to MICRO B/ML CABLE - 3'

i bought it together  with the rode micro and boom. i get professional audio. the cable feels good when you are holding, great quality

I received this as a warranty replacement for a version 1, since the on off button is no longer available for the micro usb style. I was very impressed with them offering me a replacement free under warranty and how easy the process was. The bite cap is an awesome added feature as I would use a piece of poly tubing on my old one. They processed the warranty claim quickly and got my replacement shipped quickly too. Love the 3 levels of brightness and that it is now usb-c charging which means less time to charge. I just wish it would be brighter using the AAA alkaline batteries but I kind of understand why they didn't.
