Port Google Voice Number To Verizon Wireless

Have had a number of google assist speaker (voice only), but the next hub brings it to the next level (voice and visuals). The visuals cannot be overstated as you get so much more info offered (graphs, charts, or even google searched links). Well worth the price (got it on sale). Wife loves photo display factor too.

The bezels are a bit large for this year, and the battery arrived at 0% (suggesting it spent a long time in a warehouse), but this is a great phone for the (sale) price. Took a long time to update to the latest and only learned after the fact that I could have flashed it with the latest Android bypassing the intermediary steps. It pays for itself in months in free Google Photo storage if you are an avid image creator. The only issue I've noticed is that sounds played through the browser sound far worse than in my other Android phones. This is likely a firmware/software issue that Google isn't even aware of and as such, given their inability to take in bug reports, will probably never fix. I took the Verizon SIM card out before updating and it was hard to connect to Wi-Fi at first, but in the end, after all the updates, there was no Verizon crapware. I have been using the phone only on Wi-Fi so I cannot confirm that it works with other providers, but I don't expect that to be an issue moving forward. I wish it came with a cover, as most phones do these days, but I was able to order one on eBay for $3.

These switches are great. They can be controlled from away with a cellphone, plus they can be controlled with your voice when theyre linked to Google. They can also be set on a scheduled timer so you dont have to remember to turn the lights off or on at certain times.

This is our second unit (we sold the first with our old house) and we love the convenience of the app and controlling it via voice through Google Home and Alexa. We love that it works with our Nest Protects as well. The only negative is that make changes in the app scheduling is very frustrating. For that we would remove a half star. Still highly recommended.

I presently have two cell phones, one with T-Mobile, and the other with Verizon. I wanted to drop one of my cell phone plans to save money, but I wanted a home phone that has good call capability, so I decided to give Ooma a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of calls. There was none of this cut off where you wonder if you're still talking with someone that you get with a cell phone. One very big plus is Ooma works well with Google Voice. I can make direct calls from Ooma and have my Google Voice number show up on the caller id for the person receiving the call. There are two negatives. You have to pay the 911 fee plus monthly taxes and the surcharge to keep some pig farmer in Iowa in phone service. If you want Ooma to work with caller id or have call forwarding, call blocking, etc, add another $ a month. I have no real complaints and highly recommend giving Ooma a try.
