Portable Bass Boosted Speaker With Lights

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This large yet portable speaker bumps... It has a bass that can be used for added vibration as well as colors for many uses too. It has a built in usb charger port for your electronic devices. It has a 16 hour play time which is best used without the color changing lights they tend to kill the battery faster. The only down fall of this totally awesome speaker is the DC cord it takes to charge the actual speaker itself. I can't get enough of its party mode where you can link a bunch of the speakers of like kind together for more fun and use..

I am very happy with my purchase. I wanted a portable speaker that was easy to use and carry along with me. The bass sounds like it’s coming from a bigger component and it doesn’t sound distorted.

If you're looking for a speaker with bass and th ability to control tht bass...this is the one for you. The speaker has great build quality and toughness. The lights make for great entertainment and the fact you can daisy chain with existing jbl speakers is a huge plus. One down fall is it doesn't come with a cord for your car like the previous jbl partybox 200 that I have. That was a nice feature but this cord is not available in the box. You can hook up a guitar, sync the lights with the beat via the app, 12 hours of play time which is incredible for this size of speaker and so many more options. Just a great overall speaker in my opinion, just a tad smaller than the partybox 200. It also slighty angles back on its stance which is nice vs the party box 200 straight stance. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who is a music lover as I definitely enjoy this at the beach and any outdoor party setting by the pool or lounge. Great to have around and jam to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have probably owned this speaker for about 10 or so days. And I have to say I am very impressed. The audio quality is outstanding, it's clear and the bass is pretty good. If you are a little more adventurous you can hit the bass boost and jam til sunrise with its bi-directional speakers. The battery life is awe-inspiring (18 hours), I was listening to music for a few hours over the course of 5 days and it still seems to have charge. The sound tower has an impressive 240 watts of power when plugged into the wall. I haven't tried the speaker outdoors but I shouldn't be worried since the speaker is built like a tank. It is weather resistant (IPX5) and has part lights—such a crazy combo. I was very impressed that you could connect two smart devices at the same time. It made listening to music with my GF a lot easier since we could easily pick songs without having the need to switch back and forth between devices. I didn't really get a chance to mess with the Sound Tower App but it seems pretty cool that you could control the lights and eq settings from the app. Overall I love the speaker and it's an easy no brainer for anyone in the market for a portable party speaker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me just start off with how great this speaker looks and sounds out the box. Super great looks all around with a solid design. It feels well made and built to last. Unplugged it after giving it a full charge and took it outside for some tests. Downloaded the JBL One app and set up the EQ for even better treble for the outdoor listening. Even has settings for bass and mids for your liking. Great app to see battery life and product information. Battery life seemed great with over 8 hours and that was with the bass up with my workout music. Had the lights off in my room and nice little touch is the lit up indicator lights it has on the top. AirPlay was easy to connect and Bluetooth was fast to pair. One thing I did love was using Alexa to play songs and even turn off or on my Alexa connected devices. Or you can turn off the microphone from a switch on the back if needed also. Another nice port that was very useful is the lan port if you don’t plan to move it around too much for a straight always on connection. But back to the audio. It gets super loud unplugged but when plugged in it adds a bit more oomph to the sound which is always a plus. Can’t forget the passive radiator underneath moving some air. Only thing that was a bit glitchy at times was moving the volume up and down on the app. But with a update can be fixed. Love this retro JBL speaker and you will too.

I have several Bluetooth speakers at home, but when I saw this beast, the MX-ST50B I was really curious if this was just about size and lights or about sound. This is a very simple speaker to operate. You can stream from Bluetooth, plug is through a RCA cable, and even use a microphone for karaoke. Personally I just wanted to hear the sound which for me is most important. This speaker does not disappoint. The lights are a nice addition as this really is a party speaker. I didn't sense they work in perfect unison with the music, but there a several light sequences to choose from, and all of them look pretty cool. I didn't expect something of this size to have a battery, but it does. Makes this very "portable" as there is a built-in handle to lift it and move it around. The battery allows for placing it anywhere you want, not restricted by a cord. I streamed some metal music from my phone and I was quite impressed with the clarity of this speaker. It also had decent bass, and depending on the song, the bass boost livened things up some more. If you're looking for a single speaker to entertain with, this would be a great choice. You can link speakers together either in stereo, or more speakers to fill out a larger area. I definitely recommend this speaker.
