Portable Battery Charger Stop Charging Once Completely

Echoing others' experiences, suggestions, etc., properly seating battery in charger is key; otherwise, initial charging light will remain green & battery will not charge. (Almost returned product, thinking it was defective. It was/is in good working order.) Properly seating involves applying slight downward pressure at battery terminals, with side-to-side wiggling. Once battery terminal slots (5) cannot be seen through this gentle action, battery is seated, and ready for charging. (Of course, battery base must also be seated/flush with charger.) Once plugged in, charging light will be red. For a depleted battery, full (100%) charge can take up to 150 minutes. Green light signals completion.

I've never had a battery charger that would actually drain the batteries completely before charging them. That's a really good idea for NiMH, since they are supposed to be empty, but their usefulness drops off before they are dead, if you're using them for flash. The display is bright, and always on unless you unplug it, which is what I do. It comes with a car adapter. Excellent investment, very happy that I went with this particular charger, so I could have two sets of batteries at all times. Batteries also charge up quickly, about 4 hours as advertised, with a complete drainage.

I'm very happy that with any new piece of portable lighting or camera, I am able to add one of these to my charger. It makes battery charging neat and handy.

I mainly use one at my desk when not charging and using headphones when not using bluetooth. I also have one with my portable battery charger just in case. I’ve never had a problem using Apple lightning earpods and charging at the same time.

This charger is so convienent .It makes charging the battery so much easier a must have!

It's great that it shows the status of charging for each battery individually so you know how much each is charged and when each one has been charged completely.

The battery charger now has a USB port so you can charge you phone when you’re charging the battery !!!!!

The CG-800 charger is very helpful for charging one battery while the other is being used in the camcorder.
