Portable Blu Ray Disc Dvd Player 1080P Screen

I first read many of the reviews written by present owners. I then went on line & placed my order for in store pickup. Once I set the unit up and connected it to my 4K UHD TV and turned it on, I was blown away. No matter the disc format it loaded rapidly. The dvd and blu-ray movies were brighter as well as more vivid color wise. When I played a 4K disc, I was stunned at the quality of the image. The sound quality was absolutely amazing, detailed, and immersive. It clearly out performed the LG blu-ray player that I had been using over the last 3 years. The remote control is lightning fast without any delay whatsoever. I have always loved Sony’s DVD players/recorders and now there 4K UHD player remains a high quality product. I highly and strongly recommend the UBP-X800M2 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray / DVD player for anyone looking to upgrade from a standard blu-ray player. You will not be disappointed!

I am very pleased with this projector. Projecting onto a 10' screen from a Blu-Ray player, regular DVD's look very good and Blu Ray looks excellent. 720P is definitely good enough for me. I think the uprezing of regular DVD's from my Sony BDP-S570 Blu Ray player improves the contrast and look of regular DVD's. I am super impressed watching regular DVD's this way although of course on analysis they do look softer than Blu-Ray discs. Black levels are not super black but are fine. In regular viewing I do not notice any DLP issues. If I scan my head back an forth really quickly I notice a bit of rainbow effect, but seriously who does that when they are watching a movie? I just did it out of curiosity! Projector is small, light and I see the lamps are comparatively cheap. This for me makes a difference as I do not have to think of the cost of running the projector when lamp replacement is half the cost of some other projectors. I am using the lamp on economy/long life mode and it is plenty bright. Fan is audible but not distracting once the movie is playing. The one issue that should be considered is placement. With only a 1.05x lens finding a suitable place to mount the projector and a suitable screen size and placement took a fair amount of thought. I would say the image quality is higher sending it a 720P image from the Blu Ray player compared to a 1080P image and letting the projector downrez. Also the projector switches from different resolutions with no visible hiccups when this method is chosen. Bottom line - for the modest cost this is an excellent budget projector. Rating reflects that. It surpassed my expectations.

So far is the best Multi-Region Blu-ray Disc Player AND DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER ever I had. Excellent quality, works Perfectly with my Sony TV Easy to set-up....A little bit pricey But the Perfection has its price.! I would definitely recommend to a friend without hesitation!

I purchased this player to replace a non-Blu Ray player. We use it only for DVD movies, and so far it is truly amazing!

I would highly recommend this player to everyone who is a serious 4k uhd or even 1080p blu ray collector or enthusiast. The Dolby Vision feature is very seamless like it should be and the upscaling of blu rays is very nice and the picture quality of 4k uhd discs is some of the very best that is out there. It´s big and it looks good and runs fast is smooth, quiet and efficient and is thus far a great player.

This Blu Ray disc player may be small, but it delivers. Setup and connection was very quick, and I was soon playing even older standard DVD discs that looked better than ever. Highly recommended!
