Portable Cd Player With Spdif Output

I have a one-year-old CD/DVD portable player and I wear hearing aids so I must use headphones when I use the device. However, the output of the player coupled with the weak output of my headphones was anemic. I decided to splurge and buy these and I can honestly say this is the best investment in ME that I've made in a long time. The description of this SONY MDR 7506 says it will provide a louder output than the less expensive headphones that I had been using, and the ad was correct. Instead of turning up the CD/DVD player all the way up and having to strain to hear much, I can now comfortably listen with the player output at half its output. I don't know how SONY did it but the sound is remarkable and very clear. Way to go BH for selling it. PW/SARASOTA Florida

I use this cd player when away from my tablet. It's much more compact and portable than way 2-way tablet with the cd-player attached.

For what has become my permanent WFH space, this little unit is just about perfect. I've been able to de-clutter and shrink the amount of audio gear even more than expected. The FM tuner, SD/USB media player and CD player features were expected going in, but I was pleasantly surprised that the headphone output drives my 250-ohm Beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro headphones just as well as my dedicated amp, and sounds excellent too. I also have the CD-400U going to a set of Audioengine speakers and the sound quality is very satisfying. I'm curious as to what DAC hardware Tascam has built into this thing, but I'm pleased with the output quality regardless. I haven't even touched the Bluetooth or dubbing capabilities yet. If there were anything I would add to it, it would be a S/PDIF or TOSlink digital out. But overall, zero complaints.

My Tascam CD-400U CD player doesn't have variable output. So I put this between it and a Crown XLS 402 (that does have "volume" knobs on the front). The ART equalizer's level controls allow me to effectively lower the output signal to a level that my Crown can work with. So if you were wanting an EQ that will also (help) control your system's volume, I can tell you that in my case it DOES do that. Very happy with purchase.

My Big Knob unit controls the output from a CD player for input to a 100 WPC amplifier. It is perfect for that application, where the full functions of a preamp, say, are not needed. Beautifully straightforward.

I needed a quality audio switch to switch between the audio output of a CD player and the audio output of my TV into a transmitter for my headphones. Being small and lightweight, I just used some velcroe to attach the switch to the topside panel of my entertainment cabinet where its convenient and hardly noticeable. Keeps all those audio cables out of the way too.

I use it to play a portable cd player and tablet with a audio cable and the sound is xlnt.

Used as an external/portable CD/DVD player/burner for several machines. Is instantly recognized by Windows 7 and is available for use in a matter of a few seconds after being plugged in. It needs two USB ports but no other external power source.

i have my ultimate lithiem aa batteries in my portable cd player. it is great and the sound is very profound. thank you for the clear sounds i get with the new batteries by energizer thanks i will purchase batteries again in the future.
