Works as advertised! Portable,flashing lights with a high squeal! Just pull out the pin if one has to do small piece of mind! Better to have it than not! Safety with it!

I shoot a lot on location and was looking for a portable and rugged light stand that had an adjustable leg for uneven ground. This was perfect. Strong enough for a soft box and sandbags on a breezy day. Although I think it's a little overkill, the junior receiver/baby pin combo head is nice feature. Still would be a great value with just a baby (5/8) pin.

I wanted a relatively small and portable stand to support my main light (frequently boomed) in my home studio space, so I bought an Avenger 30 riser, a folding wheel base, and I needed this to mount my Manfrotto boom clamp (the older ones had a baby pin), so I ordered one right away. There aren't a huge selection of this kind of adapter available . . . three I think, so the lower price seemed to be the most attractive point. It is beautifully finished, nice and smooth coating, the collar screws lock smoothly, and the joint is really smooth. That would be my only worry . . . the quality of the weld between the two pipes, but so far from what I have seen Impact produces really good work, so I am not too worried. It is a perfect solution to my problem with the Manfrotto pin and this way saved me from having to buy another boom arm. Great! As always . . . fast service and shipping.
