I bought this hub for use with the Microsoft Surface Pro which has only one USB 3.0 port. This product allows me to us an external DVD/CD for loading software, etc. in addition to allowing me to use an extrnal mouse and thumb drive while typing papers and doing Powerpoint presentations for school. I bought this cable to connect my Surface Pro (2017) tablet to my 30 Dell U3011 UltraSharp monitor. It works perfectly with no issues whatsoever. I am able to mirror my tablet, extend the tablet onto the Dell monitor, or use the Dell monitor as the sole display and disable the tablet display... all 3 options work without issue. If I connect the Dell monitor's USB cable to the Surface USB port, I can even use the monitor's USB ports and SD Card reader! 5 |
