Portable Health Monitoring Devices

I use this device inside a portable rack case with the ATEM and other devices. Having the option for an integrated monitoring solution like this one allows me to travel light when the circumstances require it... one case - all I need in it. Build quality is top notch as all BlackMagic Design devices I own and use. It is extremely shallow so it leaves plenty of usable space behind it, with only about 3/4 deep plus your cables. I has unique features that I currently use but those alone can justify its price - see tally indicators, network connection , etc.

Differentiated SSD. Very fast and comes with hardware health monitoring software.

Great little unit. Fast, well built, easy setup. I wish there were better options for monitoring drive health.

The Thunderbolt interface is much faster than USB, but much more expensive. It also supports SMART monitoring, so the drive health can be monitored. The problem is trying to register it with SanDisk - they have a drop-down list of products, and this device is not even listed. The usual bad WD service.

I have used this drive for several months so far, and my hard drive monitoring program shows that it is working at 100% health flawlessly. I have used it mainly for storage, and it performs well. I am pleased with it and would buy another, if I needed more storage.

went from 3 google devices to 2 of these. the monitoring from the UDM Pro is excellent and all the neat features make it worth its price.
