I use these lights for technical still photography, both table top studio and on site. The color balance [daylight] is perfect. The light dispersion angle is about 60 degrees so I no longer need reflectors. The fan is extremely quiet so there should be no issues using them for video. I previously was using 200 watt incandescent lights and would go through 1/2 dozen bulbs a month. The LEDs have paid for themselves in just a few months and I no longer burn my finger tips accidentally. When I'm shooting on site these lights are subject to very rough use as I am working around machine tools and industrial equipment. They also get exposed to lubricating oil. I have had no problems with any of the four lights that I have used for over a year now. My only issues is that they really should be sold in sets. Each light comes with a remote. The remote can operate multiple lights so I have 3 remotes that I never use in my light kit. This is the best photographic investment I have made this year. 5 |
