most, if not all, new laptops don't come with a dvd drive anymore so you're on your own if you need to view media on discs. this portable dvdrw drive from asus is extremely lightweight and about the size/dimensions of a music cd case, so you can easily fit it inside any backpack or computer case. regarding the functionality, i've been using it for over a month now and it hasn't had a single issue. easy to setup with the included wire and can be up and running within a minute or two. i'd highly recommend this drive, especially at this sub-$30 price point

I bought this flash drive to back up large files from my computer and to watch media files on a blu ray player. I transferred an entire 140 gb file from my computer to the drive, USING A 2.0 USB PORT, in 1 hour and 9 minutes! Imagine how fast it would have been with a 3.0 port!

I like this little WD passport hard drive, its fast when i connect it to my computer, media player and stereo reciever. also small and light so no problem to put it on my small bag that i carry to work. you can put everything on it like movies, music and all kinds of data's. price is reasonable too.

The drive was the right size for my computer and is a great addition to have. I have a lot more storage now and can save a lot more personal media on the device.

The Lacie portable hard drive is easy to setup. You just plug it in to your computer and follow the easy steps. The hard drive has an excellent built quality. I'm very impressed with it.

I plugged it into my new iMac computer and it worked right away. No need to even load a driver. The drive is compact and portable.

Great portable & fast 3.0 USB Hard Drive. I use it for backing up my computer internal drive and also for storing video when editing via FCP X. No complains!
