Portable Monitor Works With Mac And Windows

so far so good. works on any computer i've tried, mac or windows. Very quiet, portable, and well built. I don't see it being an issue, but wish the usb cable was not proprietary. but, i will just leave the one end always plugged in to the drive so as not to cause it wear. seems fast enough for my use.

This monitor is great using it now to write this review. It works with Mac and Windows. The convenience of having essentially a dock built into the monitor makes it an easy choice. Can also support monitor passthrough to a 2nd display for dual monitors.

I love this. I use it for everything and I love that it can be used by both windows and mac.

At my desk, I have a Mac Mini and a Windows PC that I switch between from time to time. Before, when switching between them, I would be swapping over the wireless mouse dongle from the Windows PC to the Mac, as well as a wired keyboard. Needless to say, that was a pain of a process, especially with the Mac Mini under a monitor riser and the connections in the rear. Not great! I saw this product reviewed by Lon Seidman on YouTube and instantly knew I had to get it. Now, switching between the computers is much simpler. Just tap the switch button on my desk and switch the monitors input, and everything now works on the second computer. I'm even able to have my microphone carry over as well, which I never switched over previously! Additionally, if I ever want to use a different machine, such as my Surface or another Laptop, connected to my desk monitor, I can easily connect it to this switcher and use all of my desk peripherals in a snap. It's really great! The only negative I would say about this product is that in my setup the main box sits behind my desk against the wall, not in visual sight, so you can't see which computer is active before use or while you're switching. It's honestly not really a problem at all because you can quickly cycle through and find out if you're set to the device you're trying to use, but if I had to include a knock, that's the only one I've got!

With this device, I did not have to buy a new pc monitor. I was able to connect a Mac tower with a windows monitor.Saved money, and protected the environmet. I looked everywhere for this device, and only found it here. Thanks.

Spectrum one has been a great monitor to take center of my desk. It’s the one monitor I use with my PS5/Mac/Windows setup. Type C hub has been especially handy to clear up my desk from extra cables! Glossy FTW

I will start with the PURELY ANNOYING first: If you are NOT using Windows, there's no way to update the firmware. Additionally a drive called NO NAME will auto-run on your computer (Mac or Windows) until you install the MSI OSD Settings Software. And, of course, if you only use a Mac, there's no installation available. This unwanted drive will auto-run perpetually on a Mac when using the monitor, unless, in the unlikely event, MSI deems to fix it in future. Otherwise, the monitor is astounding: The color clarity and accuracy is excellent for design work and digital artwork. It was ready to go out of the box and with not a single dead pixel. Maximum frame rates on game consoles are no problem and the monitor auto-connects to devices with ease. My MacBook is connected via the USB-C port and it is buttery smooth to work on a monitor of this size at 120Ghz. MSI is generous with included cords. There's only one HDMI 2.1 included, but then there's a cord included for just about every other major port. The OSD menu is not overdone (which I can only access via the joystick on the back of the monitor as outlined above) and makes perfect sense. It is easy to navigate and key functionalities are customizable. Note: No Gamma adjustments. Additionally B&H, via FedEx, had this monitor delivered in TWO days as promised. Kudos to MSI for packaging that is TRULY protective and expertly sealed to ascertain brand new condition. I am extremely grateful to be able to say "Yes" to this tool for work and play, despite the annoyances. Maybe MSI will consider being more user friendly to Mac users in the future. It's a missed opportunity. The monitor runs beautifully with the Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X. There's going to be crossover customers who run Mac's for their work, who will be annoyed that MSI didn't consider them important enough to provide full compatibility.

I use this product to share one monitor/keyboard/mouse between my Windows 7 machine and my Mac Mini. I have no issues at all. Very easy to set up. Great product.

I bought this monitor at an excellent Deal Zone price. Out of the box (sRGB D65), the color looked great, way too bright, text kind of fuzzy, no webcam on Mac or Windows. iProfiler confirmed no tweaking of RGB levels, turned brightness to 14. Increase Sharpness to Level 6. Reread Quick Setup guide and you need 1) USB-C to USB-C cable, or 2) DP to DP cable + USB-A to USB-C cable to activate the webcam, It did not mention that without Alt-DP, a USB-C to USB-C cable alone will not work. Webcam works in Mac Intel, Mac ARM (M2), Windows, and is super sharp. The other reviewer did something wrong or has a defective unit. You can't go wrong with this monitor, except that is not a 27.
