Works great. Kind of portable when I compare this product with powered hubs. Very convenient combination of SD Card readers, USB-A, USB-C, and Thunderbolt 4 connections. I may not need as many sound/headphone connections. A dedicated CF-Express B card reader will make this hub perfect. 5 |

I use this with Profoto B1 monolights. It's extremely portable and compact which suits the portability of the lights.I can't compare with other beauty dishes as I haven't used any - but it works very well for portraits with just the deflector in place. Nice even crispy light and the deflector lets enough direct light through that you get a pretty clean catchlight (no black dot in the middle). I also got the grid and diffusor and it behaves similarly to my Profoto 3' Octa with those in place. It may in future replace the octa if I can't see much difference.I use it on a standard Profoto RFi speedring with no problems. Not having a Chimera one to compare with I don't know if the fit is any better, but mine looks just like the product shots when mounted so I assume any difference is minimal.The fabric is not as thick or tough as a Profoto softbox, but it seems quite robust. 5 |
