I use this with my Nikon sb800. It works very well and is easily portable (I keep it in the trunk of my car). The quality seems fine for this price system. So far I have used it indoors to do portaits but I intend to use it for tabletop item shots. Two of these would make a nice little portable setup. I use a reflector now to get the fill light. As is the case with any light equipment stand you will need to add some weight or acchor the stand if used outside with any wind. 5 |

Don't try to save a couple bucks when purchasing small components. Do keep one of these in the trunk of your car - someday it will come in handy. 5 |

A bit over sized (eg in car trunk and not carry-on) but I get all my gear well protected. With Plasti Dip sealing once I figured out my configuration should work well for years. I got the larger case (3 foam layers deep) So I could configure with elements standing up for more efficient use of space. Replacing foam is expensive as you can only buy the full replacement (and not individual layers, which is great for marketing bad for consumers), so plan layout well. Shoe-Goo helps repair so you can reconfigure a bit though is a mess. 5 |

I have a smaller car so I can't fit a full sized c stand in my trunk. This works great for that and even at full extension there is no wobble. Knobs feel good. 5 |
