Portable Wireless Printer Scanner Combo

I do a ton of scanning on a daily basis for work and personal use and my printer/scanner is not by my desk so its a pain in the butt. I just received the Epson Workforce ES-60w Wireless portable scanner last week. I was able to get it up and running within a matter of minutes the longest thing was entering in my wifi code. I love that it is a Wireless Portable Scanner i can sit on my floor to scan all our receipts or photos from our trips without being tied to the computer. I have tried other small scanners and they either only scan in b&w or the image is horrible. i use this for photos, receipts, documents, insurance cards and business cards (photos scans come out so nice). I wasnt sure if this would be quick enough for me to use for work, but it is! you can can multiple sheets quickly, they show up on your screen to verify they are correct and you can save them in the format you want. This is a review for the ES-300W Wireless Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This standalone portable scanner is one of the best I have used. It is quick and compact in size. I love the Wi-Fi ability to scan right to your computer or phone. The size of the unit is a major plus. It doesn’t take up any room on my desk and is highly portable. Initial setup of the scanner can be tricky but after the setup the scanner works without a glitch. This is a well-made device worth having and I will get much use out of it.

This is a review for the ES-300W Wireless Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I received the scanner on Monday 1/23/17. It came in packed in a very impressive box, a lot smaller than I expected. The unit was packed very well. After unpacking this, it took just a very small space and being wireless I could place it anywhere I wanted. I had a little trouble finding the download on the website, so it took me awhile to get this up and running. Once connected, I chose the wireless version, I was impressed with the way it operated. The scanner is fast, with crystal clear page scans, and extremely easy to use. I own another well known brand and Epson leaves a smaller footprint, and is much nicer to use.

I did extensive research into whether or not to get a printer/scanner combo, or to keep my printer as a stand-alone and get a separate scanner. I am very glad I chose the latter; this is a superb document scanner. Other brands don't do automatic OCR. This scanner does the OCR when you scan it, so it doesn't become a laborious extra step after you've scanned the document. It's very easy to set up the scanner to upload the scans directly to Google Drive, which is one of the primary places where I save my documents. It has a number of customizable destinations that you can program and tap with a button, like specific settings and destinations for receipts, or other settings one might want for a particular type of document. The white version is pretty and has a fold-over cover that stores easily into a cabinet when not in use. This is certainly the scanner to get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this couple weeks ago and quite amazed by its performance. Compared to my previous printer/scanner combo devices, this scanner is just lightning fast! 35 pages per minute! The document feeder can be adjusted to different sizes from small picture sizes to large document prints (8.5 inches width and 53 inches length max). I like that has easy option to scan single or double sided documents and scans double sides in a single pass. One other huge plus for this scanner is the small size. This doesn't take office space and can be closed /folded to a small size. Setup was very easy with clear direction. The Epson ScanSmart software is very user friendly and provides many document editing and management functionality. This device is definitely a huge improvement if you constantly have to digitize documents/print media. The speed and quality is far better than having to use a printer/combo scanner or just taking pictures with the phone. Highly recommended!

Great little and very portable scanner.

I wanted a portable scanner than could run off of batteries and be connected either to a wireless network or to USB. The ES-300W succeeds on all counts. To my pleasant surprise, my first scan was set to a lower resolution, but the output was excellent. The only nit I have is that I wanted Linux compatibility, but could not get the scanner working unless it was connected via USB. Not a big deal. Running w/ Window 8 worked flawlessly. ** Too Fast - not really. I only use the scanner for home use, so functionality and quality output is more important than speed. But, man is it fast.

I was skeptical about it being fast, but it blew me away. This scanner ran through a stack of business receipts in seconds, and then came the contracts in the file cabinet, those were scanned and the cabinet emptied in minutes! The scanner proved to be great! The only downsides I can think of are just small ones. You have to download the drivers and software as they are not included in the box, and there is nothing to catch the scanned documents, so don't have it sitting on the edge of a desk or table.
