Ports On Laptop Computers

Having equipment with serial ports and computers with none, I turned to a 4 port adapter from BH.

With many current computers having migrated to USB C ports and having few or no USB A ports available but many accessories retaining the USB A plugs it's well to have one or two of these handy.

My company uses various serial devices, and most computers don't have serial ports anymore. Some USB/serial devices don't allow all software to communicate, even though they appear to be set up correctly. This device works perfectly every time, and even remembers what COM port number it was when it gets unplugged and plugged into a different USB port.

I have a mix of devices and computers that have a mix of USB-A and USB-C ports. This lets me use my newer gear with the older computers. I have a couple of these so I can always find one when I need one.
