Post Office Blue Box Search

I was impressed by this Benro tripod right out of the box with it's blue carrying case with ample pockets and blue satchel bag for protection. The legs are sturdy; one detaches to become a monopod; the 3/8 mounting screw flips over into 1/4; the blue locking ring keeps center post secure; and the extra , shorter post allows for near-ground level shooting. Sure there are much more expensive Benro models, and other brands to get lighter, sturdier, and higher but this is a great all-purpose tripod for $165. 5 |

This is a good all purpose hypo clear. Excellent for schools. Search for the pour spout to make it easy to dispense small quantities A note to Photo Teacher's poor review: The blue color is an indicator, which will change when the hypo clear is expired and needs to be replaced. If your students had prints turn blue, the prints were not washed properly after hypo clear. This is most apparent on the edges where stains will concentrate when drying. Hypo clear does not replace washing. 5 |

Picked up the 11-24 at the Post Office; took few shots of the steering wheel; and drove right into the Talkeetna mountains. Having used fisheyes for year I thought I would know what to do with an 11mm rectilinear...but this lens is different. My instant favorite lens for off-trail Alaska landscapes. Image quality and sharpness are excellent. Distortion is very low. Makes incredible panoramas that don't look stretched out. Heavy...but it's also a 20, 17, 14,13 and 12mm! Once in my hands weight doesn't matter! Use the 11mm most but love the zoom! 5 |

I had been trying to find the EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye lens for several months (apparently sold out everywhere. Eventually, I stumbled upon this one available through Canon's refurbished site. As far as I can tell, mine is in fine condition. I have been using it for about 5 weeks now and am beginning to understand a bit more about how to best use it. I use it on my R5 with the EF adapter and at 8mm it provides a full circle image. I have learned that you need to watch out that you don't include your own feet or shadow in the frame. I have noticed a blue fringe around the extreme edge of the photo and have also noticed some flare (even extending outside the circle) when the sun is at the outside edge of the lens. When working with the circular image in post processing, I crop to 1x1 with post-crop vignetting (changing the outer black area to white and shrinking the circle just enough to cover the blue fringe). Also in post processing, make sure you don't enable lens profile correction as that may straighten the image and ruin the circle. 5 |

I did not know such a thing existed before coming across it during an internet search. I have hundreds of old slides and wanted to get the best ones scanned.. but had put off the task for years because of the difficulty of sorting them. This box made it easy since you can look at 40 slides at a time. the lightbox is foldable for storage, and I did have some trouble getting the sides of the box to stay fully upright as the connection with the back wasn't strong enough to hold them in place. I solved that by stringing some picture wire from one side to the other, using holes already in the metal, and pulling it taut. Easy enough to do, and to reproduce if and when I need the slide sorter again. 5 |

While the US Post Office took an extra week and an half to deliver this, the item arrived and it works very well. Easy to set up and works as advertised. It's light weight means you should handle carefully, I imagine. Also, since the transmitter has no power switch (it only powers when pressing the trigger) you should do what I do and remove the batteries when it's in the bag to prevent running them down. In all, definitely worth the price. 5 |

I ordered the official mount kit for my Epson 5030 projector. It only came with a 6 extension. I rated this product 5 stars because it does exactly what it promises to do. It extends my Chief RPA mount down another foot, placing the projector exactly where I want it.While I could accomplish the same thing with a $$1.5 diameter steel gas pipe from Home Depot (yes I was actually using that). I would still need to paint the pipe white to match everything else. The Chief pipe is also aluminum, not steel, so its less weight/strain on the actual mount thats bolted to the floor joists above in the ceiling. Finally the Chief pipe has a square cut out, that can be used to hide the power/HDMI cables in. Make the installation look much neater & professional. For $23 this is pretty much a no brainer. Be advised B&H photo free super saving shipping means it will ship FedEx out of Edison, NJ to a local post office. From there the post office will deliver to you. I ordered on a Friday, received on a Thursday. So expect at least a week for arrival. If you need this item faster, use UPS ground or air. UPS ground ships from NJ/NY to VA/MD/DC in one day and was only $$more. Since I was in a rush, I should have chose that option. 5 |

The shipping was unbelievably fast and product was packaged so that it could survive anything the post office could throw at it and was in perfect condition when it arrived. As always, will continue to choose B&H over every other competitor. 5 |
