By far the best and sturdiest mount for mountain biking, and its the easiest to set up. Also, I use this on the end of a broken broom handle as a GoPole. It's way cheaper and the GoPro sits higher off the pole so you actually get a better camera angle. 5 |

This review is coming from someone who used a broom handle, and simply taped the mic onto the top. Not ideal. This is a fantastic solution.This is a great way to get a shotgun microphone closer to the talent for better sound. It's made of aluminum and so it's strong enough to not flex when fully extended. it's also quite light. The foam on it extends all the way down the pole, which makes it nice to hold for extended periods. I use a Rode NTG-1 mic and shock mount and it screws on to the pole easily and securely. Twist locks are easy to use and length of over 6 feet is perfect for a run and gun filmmaker like myself.If you we're on the fence about buying this, go for it.
