Electrical power spikes occur for many reasons and your sensitive electronics won't survive unless you have a quality surge suppressor. Most products sold as surge supressors only provide a low level of protection and are little more than power bars. The Isobar offers a high level of protection and, unlike most other surge suppressors, will isolate each outlet from surges caused by other appliances plugged into it. This low cost Outlet and Power Conditioner with analog Ammeter and Voltmeter from ART is a great value in my opinion. The unit is constructed from metal and has a quality look and feel. The pull-out lights are a great convenience and provide plenty of illumination for my audio cabinet. The ammeter and voltmeter are always illuminated while the unit is on and provide dim but noticeable lighting in a dark room. 5 |

This is my second M-8x2 Power Conditioner. I was having issues with some laser equipment that was extremely difficult to troubleshoot. In the end, my machine went down unexplicably and had to be returned for service. While the unit was out, it dawned on me that perhaps the issue - or at least part of the issue - was due to inconsistent power and possible spikes. I ordered the first M-8x2 while my machine was being repaired and have had the unit plugged into it ever since. I have had no repeat issues since protecting my gear with the Furman M-8x2. Since I have recently added additional equipment, it was a no-brainer to ensure that I have appropriate protection in place from the start. I highly recommend both the Furman M-8x2 and B&H Photo Video. 5 |
