Power Cord For Viewsonic Monitor

The Viewsonic TD1655 worked perfectly out-of-the-box including the touch screen. Didn't even need calibration adjustments. In five minutes I was up-and-running, INCLUDING extended display (it is the upper-left in the photo). If you don't need a touchscreen, Viewsonic has models at lower price points. It fits in my backpack briefcase and my messenger bag and has a protective cover that snaps on magnetically. I had borrowed, tried or bought-and returned four portable monitors, none of which worked without some effort. One didn't work at all despite an hour of trying everything I could think of (and it wasn't cheap). Another required a separate power source - for a portable monitor? Seriously, they expect me to carry another power supply on the road? From those experiences I looked at the specs of a couple dozen more, and then decided to try the Viewsonic TD1655. It is head-and-shoulders above all the others, even ones that were more expensive. The only possible exception was the Lenovo M14. I have used Thinkpads exclusively for years, currently have four between my wife and myself (all Yogas). I really wanted it to be the one, but the smaller screen was a deal breaker. After receiving the Viewsonic I discovered, besides the larger screen, that it had better features and more adjustments. Search no more and don't waffle about a few dollars. This is the only portable monitor to buy.

If you need a small portable monitor I highly recommend this one. Power and display signal all through one cord is useful and with adapters can fit any application.

This power cord helps me in my studio because, it goes from my left monitor to my power conditioner on the other side of the room, strong cable, great length.

I am using this monitor on a Sony PDM 320 and it replaced a monitor with much less resolution. HD focusing is much easier now. Also the ability to use my Sony batteries when shooting where there is no AC to plug into is very helpful. Only thing I did not like was the short power cord that was included. You will need to get a 4 pin XLR power cord if you use it with a 110 volt power supply. One other thing there was an HDMI cord that was missing in the box. B&H promptly sent me another one. B&H has always been a reliable source for all my video production needs.

great cord, use to power my ultra 5 bright screen monitor via a gold mount on my c500. love the indicator light that is on the D-tap side to let users know the cable is working.
