I looked on line for such a device, I found nothing that supports the microphone. iPhone 7 won't give me enough talk time. Because my work can demand me to be on the phone for 8 hours, I hated my 7. Wanted my 6s back. Apple store had this product. IT IS THE BEST THING TO HAVE WITH A IPHONE7 !!! With out this device I would have traded my 7 for a 6s or SE just to have the ability to charge and talk at the same time. I just bought it so I don't know the long term. But if it does what it did in the store, Then you cannot have a more valuable tool for your 7 !!! 5 |

If you have an Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter you can connect this device into the USB Type-A slot, then connect a 3.5mm audio cable from a microphone (such as the Sennheiser EW G4 wireless lavalier system) to pipe the external microphone's audio directly into your iPhone. Excellent for the convenience of having good quality audio for your iPhone interviews or vlogging. I was skeptical that this setup would work, but it certainly does work. I'd recommend this device if you're trying to do something like what I described. Should work well with laptops too, but I haven't tried that. 5 |

I used it with my iPhone 7 because I sold my Canon 5D3. It makes my iPhone 7 seem like a professional device. It seems to know how to create 48V of phantom power needed and with not programing and zero apps the iPhone and sennheiser (SP) are married to perfect use for my audition tapes . I hear that lovely 416 throaty, deep, and theatrical sound on my video. 5 |
