Bought this because I need to recharge 2 batteries at once. It's the same as the one that came with the DSLR.

I have bought several of these batteries for my D-5’s so I can go for days before having to recharge!!

Always though there would be a better way to recharge my camera batteries. Then this product came out and, BAM, the better way to recharge is here. I don't need to carry my large wall charger with these and can charge my batteries using a power block or my adapter in the car, or almost any power adapter that is around the office if needed. So many options make them a really good choice and so far they have been just as good as the regular batteries. I carry my camera to work every day and now I never have to worry about not having power for the camera.

Camera manufacturer does not include an external charger and one must use the camera, with a power adapter, to recharge the batteries. This is cumbersome, specially when one needs extra batteries when traveling. Tis charger solved this problem for me. Another advantage is that it takes about half the time to recharge a battery with this charger compared to recharging in the camera.

There's a lot to like about this charger: you can test battery strength (without even plugging it in to any kind of power), you can power by AC wall plug, or even by (provided) DC car-lighter plug so you can recharge batteries inside your car. I love the fact that I can change plates and recharge different batteries entirely (I just got the two independent plates to be for Nikon EL15's). You can even power a USB device at the same time, in case your digital camera or camcorder needs its batteries topped-up. There's overcharge protection that turns the device off automatically (to avoid harming batteries), as well as overheat protection. It even detects defective or shorted batteries and protects the charger. LCD screen is easy to read... charging time (right now) is around an hour, but it can take longer for older batteries. This thing weighs about 7.5oz (218g) and sits quietly in the corner doing its thing. :-)

I bought this as a back-up for my Flash. These batteries recharge very quickly & provide hundreds of full-power flashes.
