Powerline Ethernet Adapter Vs Wifi Extender

Our house was not wired with Ethernet cables and I could not get a wifi signal (I purchased a much needed upgraded router and tried a top of the line extender without any luck) into our garage for a sprinkler control panel. I finally came across reviews for the Netgear Powerline 2000+ and figured I would try them out. I plugged the adapter into our power outlet next to the router and plugged the other one on the other side of the house. I pay for 100 mb and average about 98.3 to 98.5 next to the router. Testing the Netgear Powerline 2000+ I get around 97 to 97.3 from it. Since the speed was so good, I put the adapter in a bedroom next to our garage and turned my old router into an AP and now have 70% signal strength in the garage and backyard. Great product for the price, as I saved $60 over the "high end" extender 5 |

My wifi speed for this AP is currently limited by my powerline network adapter. But this is handeling my full gig internet over wifi when not on the powerline adapter. The ring light on this is a tad brighter than my last unifi AP though. I don't think I can turn that down. 5 |

PowerLINE 2000 is a great alternative to WIFI and is more consistent also! 5 |

I purchased this to increase the WiFi coverage in my house. I was considering purchasing 2, but started with 1 just to see the coverage. Overall, I get about 25% better signal at each end of the house with this set up in the center so an improvement over the WiFi router my ISP provides. I have basic networking experience and the software was a breeze to setup. I really think anyone could do it, but give yourself a good 15 mins to click around and understand their web interface. I simply plugged an ethernet cable into my existing WiFi router, then into the PoE adapter that came with the AP. Then just ran a second ethernet cable from the PoE adapter to the AP. Mounted it on a wall with their hardware and was done, took less than 5 min total. 5 |

I have a wifi only laptop that I wanted to use to test a newly purchased IP camera on. The adapter allowed me to connect a ethernet cable to my IP camera for testing. After giving the adapter a IP address in the same range as the camera my system connect with the camera perfectly. I would highly recommend this adapter for anyone needing to add ethernet wired access to there wifi laptop. 5 |

I have never had problems with my bluetooth, I got full blue tooth connection throughout my house even with my little Soundpeats q30 plus. This wifi adapter is faster than our ethernet, which makes 0 sense but even with a cat 5 cable, I get around 200mbps while I get around 130 with the ethernet. It really is hassle-less. So if you have a spare PCI-E slot, this is a really good budget wifi adapter. (Also you don't need an optical drive for the software disc, just go to the website on the disk or look up the software for the adapter and port it onto your pc with a USB. Though, my computer didn't even need the software) 5 |

MoCA is the way to go if you don't have an ethernet wired house. I've tried Powerline ethernet and although it was decent, it was not stable. Other connected appliances add noise to the electric signal. With MoCA, the signal is stable and FAST. One thing you have to get is a PoE filter. You need to add it to the coaxial coming into the house. I added it where it came in at the utility closet. Once on, the MoCA signal has been perfect. 5 |

Works flawlessly without any drop unlike Powerline Ethernet adapters. Just make sure to create a network using the adapters in 2-Pack first before adding(pairing) any other individual single pack MOCA adapters. 5 |

My WiFi made me love it again...my new Netgear Powerline 2000 Mbps kicked my speed up to where it should be. I can now support all my connected devices and my WiFi spreads outside to my security cameras. Extremely happy! 5 |

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to. 5 |
