Pre Soak Front Load Washer

It took me a while to learn how to use this film with my equipment. Once I got it dialed in, I use it often. A tip that came from Foma directly was to pre-soak the film for 30 minutes. This will all but eliminate any of those pesky "little specks" that I fought with for quite a while.

Gave it a 15 minute 70F water pre soak and the negs are clear and clean. Images look nice. Great price as long as there is consistent quality. I've had some Fomapan issues with QC and this stuff might be re-branded Foma so we'll see. But so far so good.

Buy an extra pair! You can pre-load one while scanning another.

Someone please tell me any other film washer better than this.

Identical to the single holder that comes w/ the kit. Nice having the ability to pre-load the holder and have it available for a quick change.

This is a terrific product. Just remember 2 things. First, have reasonable expectations. Don't expect an incrediblly sharp image with a long tonal range. Second, be sure to pre- flash the paper prior to using it. It is possible to do it with a low wattage light bulb, although most people advise using a brief exposure under an enlarger. However, one of the appeals of this product is that you don't need to have an enlarger, Simpest method may be to load film in changing bag. After exposure, unload in changing bag and, still keeping it inside the bag, load into a daylight tank, e.g., Patterson, Yankee, Jobo, etc. Then process in with lights on. Be sure to search the webernet and profit from other people's experience. Oh, a free bonus tip: Take good notes because you'll have to make adjustments befote you hit on a nice repeatable process with suitable pre-flash and image exposure times. Much easier than my description. Heck, just use it and have fun!

I purchased the Sonos Beam for the play room at our lake house. The room had been pre wired for front and rear speakers but decided to go this route which was obviously significantly cheaper with NO labor costs. Did not disappoint at all- accomplishes the sound we were looking for at all points in the room!

I use this a recorder with a Sound Devices Mix Pre-D as a front end preamp. My main use for this is recording sound effects for post editing. The mount works great to attach an external preamp. When using the DR-60's preamp, the noise floor is a tad higher than I prefer, but gentle noise reduction makes it very clean. This is definitely not a replacement for a high end recorder, but still works great for it's intended purpose.

Load everything up and move it from one location to the next. All my equipment fits perfectly. Collapses down to fit in the front seat area of my car, with the wheels on the floor. Don't need a truck just yet.

I haven't actually used this yet, but I did load it, weigh it, and pretend to put it in an overhead for practice. Seems perfect for my gear. I travel with a DLSR, mirrorless and 4 lenses. There is room for that and a change of clothes if a bag gets delayed. The front compartment easily holds my 15 laptop. The laptop compartment sort of locks by attaching the loop on the zipper to the integrated lock for the case (watch the video). The case rolls easily. I agree with the reviewer who said it would be nice if the bottom of the case was flat, but with my gear that is not a problem. The recommended accessory GRID-IT organizer of 10X12 does not fit the interior front pocket and looks like it has been removed as a suggestion. All-in-all this looks like it will be a great bag. It will be my carry-on but seems sturdy enough to gate check on smaller planes.
