The days of big, super heavy prime lenses are finally over. This little 35, attached to my Sony A7R is just great. And it is tiny and weighs almost nothing. Great walk around lens and the f2.8 gives me good Bokeh when I want it. Can't say enough good things about this little lens. 5 |

Be warned, it's 100% manual... but if you can deal with that, you will be amazed at the performance of this little lens. I am a prime snob and have almost exclusively L glass. But the Canon 14mm 2.8 II cost is obscene. I read the reviews on the Rokinon, gave it a try and I'm seriously blown away. It's impressive. 5 |

I am not about to repeat what others have said. This is one fantastic prime lens, Robust build quality throughout, and exceptional sharpness and contrast. Mounted to an X-E1, I use this lens in the studio for fashion and commercial photography, and it delivers the results my clients expect time and again. I briefly had the Fujinon 35 F1.4 for a brief time, and while its optical quality is as good, its build quality is subpar: in other words, the Zeiss is a well-machined tool, while the Fuji felt like a cheap toy slammed together. And the fact it's only $ more, and has a 3 year warranty, sealed the deal. Only thing missing is a soft case, but that's not huge deal. Do it, Touit! 5 |
