I wanted to get a prime portrait lens but simply could not afford the Nikon lenses for my D7000. When I saw the Rokinon 85 mmf/1.4 with the AE chip on sale, I had a hard time saying no to this lens after reading the excellent reviews online.First, the construction is solid and offers metal construction in a market full of plastic lenses. The AE chip makes focus and exposure a simple matter. Bokeh is beautiful at f/1.4 and color clarity is as good as I've seen on lenses many times the price. If I had to criticize anything, it would have to be the hood which is relatively flimsy and tends to loosen, but you have to be real picky if that would keep you from considering this lens.In summary, do not be afraid to get this lens. You won't be disappointed

I recently purchased a Canon 35mm prime lens and since I'll be using it for nature & landscape, I wanted to have a cost-effective polarizer. I've been impressed with Hoya's results considering the cost. In terms of this particular polarizer, it's very thin, so I'm not seeing any vignetting. Highly recommend it.

The filter serves as a first line of defense against damage to my Canon 50mm prime lens. I can't detect a difference with or without the filter. That's perfect. In addition the low cost was appropriate for my used lens. One could easily spend as much for the filter as the used lens cost. If the filter is damaged, which does happen, it will be easy to replace.

After researching and trying on various prime lens for my Nikon D3100, I opted for this one. I am surprised that it cost so much less considering the crystal clear image it produces.
