Nice free gaming bundle to go to RTX-capable laptops!

This bag is often given away free by B&H as an incentive for a camera purchase, which is how I got mine. The camera I purchased was for video conferencing and content creation, so was mounted immediately in my office studio and hasn't moved since. I put the bag to use with my other photo equipment and I have to say it is FANTASTIC for times when only a small messenger bag is needed. Quite frankly, I can't believe they give this bag away for free, as it is totally worth the purchase price of about $160. For those that worry because it is not waterproof, don't be, as it comes with a rain cover. I shoot with prime lenses, which means I am always carrying at least one other lens with me besides the one mounted on the camera itself. If you plan on carrying your camera around your neck, it is easy to fit 3 large f1.4 primes in the bag. If you want a place in the bag for the camera too, then a large mirrorless camera (Sony A7R5) with large prime attached (Sony 35 f1.4) will fit with room for a Sony 14 f1.8 and a Batis 85 f1.8 on either side (all 3 lenses have their hoods attached in the operating position. It's perfect!

This lens gives you prime-like quality with clarity and bokeh in a zoom. The AF speed and accuracy is amazing. The build quality sets the standard. I like that it doesn't have VR, it's less of a drain on the battery that way and it's a fast, wide lens, I haven't had a situation yet where I wished it had it. Yes, it's on the heavy side but that helps reduce shake and let's face it, it's a fixed F/2.8 zoom pro lens, it's not going to be light - know what you're getting in to. If you can afford it this lens is a must-have. BH was great about shipping to an APO address (for free) as well and the free Tiffen filters are great.

This recently purchased control ring was used on a recently purchased Canon R6mkii body and my canon 500mm f/4 mk 1 prime lens. This setup was used on April 8th 2024 to capture the solar eclipse.

This lens is true performer, especially Macro. It can be used as a prime for portraits and lets you control the depth of field, with a low F2.0. Sharp and dependable. If you like close-ups this one is for you.
