Print Screen Key

I'm loving this keyboard. The only thing that took me a second to get used to was there's no dedicate print screen key. I rely on that button every day. But a quick google search revealed it's a function key and using Logitech options you can switch it to Screen Capture which emulates the print screen key. 5 |

Overall: This is a very good printer with good print quality, easy (pretty quick) set up, and a few key features. I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised, but this printer is actually an improvement on last Epson "Ecotank" printer I owned a few years back (and that was was definitely a game changing printer for me since it was the first ink jet printer that I ever owned that didn't require ink changes on a regular basis). Set-Up: Set up was fast and easier than expected. I got it done in less than 25 minutes once I had all the pieces out of the box. The instructions were intuitive and loading ink was simple and clean. I've had some issues in the past setting up wifi and wireless printing from cell phones in the past with other printers, but this one made it easy. One think worth noting is that the printer does have airprint. At first I wasn't sure because the booklet doesn't emphasize this, but it works well. My family does as much printing from cell phones as they do from computers so this is a key feature. And (its worth saying again) the super tank is still genius. I always struggled with ink shortage at key times in the past and having to not worry about ink is still a great advancement in printers. Speed, quality, and noise: The printer is pretty fast. Its looks to be a little faster than my current (former) printer and quality actually is much better (particularly color). The really notable thing is that is is much quieter. It doesn't make as much noise in the "warming up and pre print process and the printing itself sounds smooth and quiet. Wide format: It can print a variety of sizes which is impressive for a printer of relatively small size. I was able to easily print an 11x17 page but it is just as easy to print up to 13" wide. Again, I've seen home printers that can do this but not a printer this size. I'd say this is the best all around printer I've tried. Should be good for a small business or a large family like mine. 5 |

This paper is a good general use paper. I use it to print softer images such as high-key monochrome and florals. The pearl finish is very neutral, not too shiny. Feeds well into the printer. Nice weight, very resilient. (For high-contrast black and white images, I use the Hahnemuhel FineArt Baryta paper. It is exceptional for this.) 5 |

I've been printing everything on Ilford's MGFB Classic paper since it was released--another excellent paper. After reading some promising reviews of Fomabrom, I thought to give it a try. Developed in LPD 1:3, Fomabrom renders slightly warm. It's a bit yellow, better than old MGFB, not as nice as untoned MGFBClassic. It sounds unappealing, but it's not. It's just not neutral. Toned for 5 minutes in 1:30 selenium, the paper quickly cools to neutral. A really pure neutral silver tone. It tones better than MGFB. If you like toning, you'll love this paper. Blacks are surprisingly deep, and the print becomes dimensional in a way I haven't seen before. The other distinctive characteristic of this paper is the way it handles highlight detail. High-key negatives are much easier to print than on MGFB. I'd say it has less contrast except that it prints at about the same grade as MGFB. Highlights are just easier to manage. The downside is that midtones have less separation than MGFB. MGFB just seems to pop more in the mids. It's an excellent paper to have on hand, especially for high-key negatives or images you intend to tone. Maybe more like the old Oriental variable-contrast paper than MGFB. At this time, the price also makes it an appealing general alternative to MGFB Classic. 5 |

I use this all day long for zoom calls on a modestly setup green screen. Key looks so awesome I have longtime VFX supervisors complimenting it on Zoom calls. It's best for prosumer HDMI cameras. The auto key out of the box is great and spending a bit of time learning what all the extra dials and controls do makes it even better. A wonderful addition to streaming kits and a great deal at this price. Highly recommended. 5 |

Long time photographer and retired pro. Have the X100f and bought this for some key updates like weather sealing, bigger viewfinder (better diopter), better lens and the tilt screen. The lens sharpness improvement is immediately noticeable, especially at shorter focus distances. The viewfinder and tilt screen make a nice difference in usability. The weather sealing is key to being out and about without a case, the way this camera is meant to be. The reviewers will tell you about the overheating and scratchy manual focus ring. Yes, the camera gets warm, but I never really press a camera like this for continuous hard shooting or video... it's not what it's meant for in the first place. The focus ring is a little scratchy, but works fine.... and honestly, I hardly ever manual focus anyway, so after playing with it to notice, it will go on forgotten. If you don't need weather sealing, tilt screen and/or don't care about closer focusing distances, the X100f might be fine. Otherwise, this camera is really a beautiful next step in the X100 evolution. 5 |
